Remarks

overall rating of college I give is 6.5/10 individually for the mechanical department and its faculty 10/10 college management, principal, placements 4.5/10 college hostel - 3/10

Entrance Preview

I thought it was the good college for getting more place placements but failed to get more placements for mechanical and civil students. The environment is excellent and facilities like labs, seminar halls for individual departments etc.. are good. They will collect Rs.4000 without giving any receipt.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

course structure wasn't good at the time when I was studying. there was no chance of selecting the elective subjects. reference books that were available in the library were basic level books and those too old editions. good reference books were there in the department library but that too in 2 or 3 in number.

Internships Opportunities

college do not provide any internships or any industrial tours. the college has some unique different weird rules to be followed by students.

Placement Experience

2

coming to placements during my graduation period placements were not so good for us (mechanical and civil students). only few companies allowed for us to attend interviews. we (mechanical students) have attended a maximum of 4 or 5 companies that for the formality purpose. the companies are Wipro (33 out of 220 students), cts (12 out of 220 students) and Hyundai (3 out of 220 students) and at last bosch (around 17 out of 220 students). but publicity is like 100 % placements and also they publish the companies which visit the college for taking only CSE students.

College Events

3.5

the thing I like most about the college is the events conducted by the college. for every academic year there will be many programs and functions like the year start with freshers day, Mohana mantra, sports day, annual day, graduation day, teachers day, science day and some departmental events etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

if a student gets below 10000 ranks in apemcet he will get full fee waiver. at the time of my graduation fee was 82000+4000. this 4000 is taken without giving any receipts. that was the little bit expensive for a middle-class family. there will be extra expences during events also.

Fees and Financial Aid

i don't know about scholarship/ loan facility because I didn't get any scholarship as my dad is a government employee. if a student gets below 10000 ranks in apemcet he will get the full fee waiver.

Campus Life

4

gender ratio can't be determined because it depends on branches. in mechanical there will be 15:60 ratio of girls and boys respectively. extracurricular, labs, sports, competitions such as debates etc. will be good and will be encouraged by the department.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

I can say that college hostel was good in the years 2013 and 2014 and after that, they appointed a roadside shoe stitcher as the mess in charge and a bathroom cleaner as a mess cook. from the food was worse and there will different rules in the hostel also. hostel fee is around 70000 per year. many clothes will be lost after giving them to dhobi for washing.

Alumni/Alumna

alumni network was useful. senior students used to guide us in some aspects as they are also having their works.

Exam Structure

exam structure is good. assignments of 10 marks are conducted and internals of 30 marks is conducted and external of 70 marks is conducted and both percentage and cgpa are given. lab exams were also good. exams will be conducted very strictly. at the end of every semester, there will be hectic work of lab records homework etc

Admission

I got 35000 rank in my emcet exam. i didn't get admission through counselling. At that time 2013 there were good talks and ranking for 2 autonomous colleges. they are GPREC and SVEC. so as i am native of kurnool i didn't want to study in GPREC so my dad paid 3 lakhs as payment to get admission in SVEC in mechanical engineering.

Faculty

3.5

i can say about the faculty of the only mechanical department. in my 4 years of graduation, i didn't feel disappointment or repent. but i felt bad with college management. if a student wants to participate in any competitions conducted by other colleges then the college management won't provide attendance but if that student gets the prize then that credit is taken by the college but the mechanical department doesn't do that. mechanical department HOD varaprasad sir encourages every student to improve his/her skills in their own area of interest. i can say he is the best faculty in the entire college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
