A college with good reputation with average placement

MIET is overall a good college with a good environment as students and faculty are so good that it looks like a family where sometimes students got scold from teachers due to their mistakes but they provide a right direction. But only one thing that is not good about the college is a place for other branches other than IT/CS or MBA. The campus is good well-modified administration block and nice events for enjoyment of every member in the college.

MIET is good known for laboratories work as many new instruments are available for experiments and biotechnology is a branch of research and technology. The labs are very well developed and provide biosafety level 1&2 in this college. There are many events celebrated in this college that help the students to show their talent. The college is also known for its good education and reputation in the state.

I'm a student of PCMB and my interest is in biology. I got the information about this course through internet and learned about this course Thoreau benefit and the career in future. This is the reason I select biotechnology as many new experiments were performed here and I learnt many things here.

No, college doesn't provide internship. But most of the time provide training in the college only for 7-15 days and these training courses are available only if student pay the fees. Sometimes some faculty can recommend the students to other institutes or industry for training.

For IT/CS students the placement is very good as many software companies came to hire the students but for other branches like mechanical, electrical there are less opportunities and for civil and biotechnology there are very less opportunities available. For biotechnology no core companies came to provide placements only marketing, sales, business associates, event management types of jobs were provide to biotech students. This is the reason that many biotech students didn't got placed through campus drive.

There are many events celebrated in the college. Main event is Kolahal. Kolahal event is celebrated for 2-3 days and in these one is star night and also these events provide many students a chance to show their talent. Second event is Graphite Art Land this is a art event where student show their creativity. One is Glitz in this students show their communication skills, writing and creative mind to perform better.

The fees for every year is near about Rs 96,000. But for first year it ranges to 1 lac around. But now the fees may be increase for MBA courses as air conditioner classes are available. This fee structure is not so expensive as mostly engineering colleges have fees range about 1lac. And for financially weak students scholarships are available to help them.

College provide scholarships to merit students who top in their branches. And other students get government scholarships whose family background is not good. For some students fee waiver scholarships also provided, as for them the fees is very low.

There are many buildings in the campus and also auditorium for seminars, workshops and other activities. The gender ratio is near about 60%-40%. There is a game club too and three canteens available. The students can enjoy there and learn. There are many labs for every department to learn practical and also many other competitions were conducted like robotics, Glitz, endura and many sports competitions like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball.

There are 1 hostel for girls and 2 hostel for boys in the campus. The hostel for girls are good and provide good facility like electricity, wifi and ac library. The mess food is average in all the hostels sometimes the quality of food is very good but after some days it us back to that normal one.

College also conducts alumni meet to interact with the students and share their experiences in the college and their life. Many seniors came to the college to teach the lesson of life to motivate the students, give them a new opportunity or try to build something new for them. Try to interact with everyone and solve their doubts. Even the seniors also help their juniors by providing good advice and also notes that help them in their exams.

In college, there are 3 sessional exams. All the sessional are important for internal exams and also internal practical evaluation also taken by the faculty. Per semester 3 sessional exams and one main semester exams and practices are conducted. The internal was of 50 marks and 20 marks practical and other 100 marks of semester exams.

I gave the upsee exam where I got 308 rank and I got admission in this college through counseling. I select this college during counseling process and after online process documents were submitted in the college. The college wants 10th and 12th class marksheet, transfer certificate, character certificate, migration and ID proof and after that a file was created for admission.

The faculty of the college is good. They try to help the students but some faculty are there who didn't provide better notes and even can't explain the concepts clearly. Even some of them are like they give internal marks to those students who flatters them.
