Exploring SRIT beyond the academia

I have chosen computer science and engineering with a specialisation in Artificial intelligence and Machine learning. The course curriculum is designed in a way that closely resembles the real-world applications. You learn and put it into practice simultaneously with the knowledge and support provided by the professors. Curriculum mainly focuses on hands-on experience of all the things learnt in the classroom.

You can apply to a lot of companies for internship opportunities and usually the stipend varies from company to company. So many students have interned at different companies and got a good amount of stipend.

Students are usually encouraged ro participate in all kinds of competitive activities like hackathons, coding competitions, ideathons etc. right from the second year of your course. Many companies visit the college for on-campus placements. The highest package offered is 12 LPA and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Usually the college placement rate is very high. A lot of placement opportunities are provided and I've been placed in Accenture and TCS this year.

The tuition fee is 50200 per year and bus fee varies depending on the place you come from. There are many scholarships available which provide financial assistance for the students in need. I have not availed any of them so I don't have much idea regarding them. But there are a certain criteria that need to be fulfilled inorder to avail such scholarships for financial assistance. You can contact the office section of the college to know more. There are many campus employment opportunities provided and in the computer science department(since I'm a cs student I only know campus employment from the Computer Science department), one for example is taking up programming classes for your juniors and you will be paid stipend depending on your work hours per week. There is also an on-campus internship known as in-house internship in which students interested in programming can contribute in building websites and other things and you are awarded with a stipend based on your work.

We have a lot of annual and technical festivals; symphony is the college annual fest and every department conducts technical fests too. The college also celebrates festivals like Ugadi, Sankranti, Dussehra where everyone in the campus wear ethic attires and so many fun competitions are also held. There are also so many clubs for students like programmers club, photography club, arts club, Toastmasters international, NCC, NSS, Rotaract club, Red cross society and you can also be a part of departmental magazines and monthly newsletters. Sports are a major important aspect in the extracurricular activities. So many sports competitions are held every year and the winners are awarded at the college annual fest. College also encourages you to participate in professional sports competitions.

You can get admission into the college through an entrance exam called AP EAMCET (AP EAPCET). You must secure the required cut-off rank for your preferred stream of engineering in the college.
