Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS is the basic course that you have to do to practice medicine. It is a very good and vast course and gives you an insight into every field of medicine and surgery. It focuses mainly on practical learning. We are taught to deal with patients, treat them, understand their work and cure them. Our institute has one research lab set up in every department, especially the Haematology department, Microbiology department, Community Medicine department of Nrs Medical College has many papers published and research work accredited to its name.

Internships Opportunities

After completing MBBS, all the students that pass final year get placed in the same hospital for another 1 year to complete the internship and only after that the degree is given. The annual package of 2.5lac

Placement Experience

5

After MBBS we have to go for an internship after which a doctor can opt for residentship or higher studies. It totally depends on personal choices. For higher studies, you need to appear for AIPG Exam again and the PG stream is decided according to the rank scored in the exam.

College Events

5

We have a big annual cultural event The Lobelia with an average footfall of 10000 students. Many Bollywood artists like Aditi Singh Sharma, Mohit Chauhan, Nakash Aziz have performed here. The fest was highly organized with entire support from the faculty members.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very affordable. We have 9 semesters in total and fees to be paid per semester is Rs 4500/-

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided to BPL students to pursue further studies.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I was residing in a hostel. All the hostel rooms were sharing. There was 1 hostel for boys and 4 hostel for girls. One of the girls' hostel had PG residents. The cost is very minimal- Rs 12/- per month. The food served there wasn't that very good in taste but we have other options to choose from. There are multiple canteens that supply food, then we have home delivery services also.

Alumni/Alumna

Our interaction with the alumni is very good. They have supported our college and it's development in many ways. Many have donated for better lab facilities, infrastructure, and cultural events.

Faculty

5

All the faculty members of our college are doctors and have completed minimum Post graduation course with years of experience. Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy was an ex-faculty member of this college and many of our teachers were his students. The classes held are mainly interactive sessions in with a proper orientation regarding the subject and ways to go about it are always primarily taught. The standard of teaching is very high. We are made to interact with the patients and examine them and come to a diagnosis with a proper knowledge background right from the 1st year under their supervision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
