- The campus life does not let us experience college life as we have no much opportunities.
- We have places to sit and also are treated like primary school kids.
Course Curriculum Overview
The main aspect that helped me to take a decision to get into this particular course is working in the Operation Theatre. This course allows you to work in the OT without having a mbbs degree. After bsc you have many opportunities for this course, you can even work under the surgeon or be an anaesthesia technician. The curriculum consists of the basics of medicine like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and also operation theatre management in the 1st year. 2nd year you have: pharmacology ( as we'll be dealing with drugs), microbiology, pathology, medicine, surgery and Basics of anaesthesia. 3rd year has anaesthesia, pharmacology and surgery. We also have clinical postings to help us be aware of the field we're getting into. We are experienced enough to start working after Bsc if we're not gonna opt for masters.
Internships Opportunities
We get to do internships in our college itself as we have our own hospital to work in. The internship program for our batch is 1 year. Where we have to work everyday and we can take a particular amount of leaves and if the leave increases we need to do extension.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for first year is 1,36,000 and the second year is 1,30,000 and the same for the third year. During internship there is no fees to worry about. However if you opt for hostels you have to pay 90,000 per year for it. We have many scholarships available here. Some students even work as the hospital technician after the finish their bsc.
Campus Life
The biggest event held here is the culturals every year, typically done in the month of December, it's usually the competition between all the allies health courses, the hype for it is real and also the program is something else. We get to participate and watch different kinds of events during culturals like dance, singing, fashion show, stand up comedy, mad ads, etc. We also have an annual sports day and annual athletics which is held between the allied Heath courses and mbbs. Our department has numerous events like Diwali, Onam, farewell, Christmas(secret Santa) and many more. The campus life overall is okay-ish. I wouldn't say it's the best as we don't have the clubs or things like that. We do not have much opportunities as the mbbs students. But they'll encourage us if we participate in it.
Hostel Facilities
The main facilities in the room are table, bed, cupboard and a fully equipped washroom. Hostel is overall very clean but I stay in a different hostel compared to my batch mates. The mess is well maintained and is clean and the quality and quantity of the food is very good. There are also other pgs or houses you can rent around the college. But the intime for my hostel is 8 and the intime for the other hostel is 6 but anytime we want to leave the city or go out we need to take permission from the department HOD.
Admission
There is no specific examination to get admission. You need to be in the science field. You need to take science as your major in Pre-university and also have should pass all your exams and get minimum marks. The admission process for me was hassle free. I was a late student but I still got admission here. I'm grateful to get a seat in this college.
