Great experience

College administration is quite poor...we get our library cards at the end of the semester and till then we can't issue books from library ...they don't cooperate and being typical government administration they are slow in their works

Wanted a good branch and mechanical was available in nit Raipur so opted for this college. Being an old nit it has the great record in placement and packages and equalizes almost all other nits in terms of placement. Its ranking is going above and increasing day by day so we can say that with the new infrastructure in upcoming years it will be among top nits.

Course curriculum is quite specific .in first years students are made aware and introduced to the basic part of all the fields in engineering like electrical electronics mechanical civil it computer science chemical etc ...with a particular subject for each branch...after it you go to respective branches

I dont know about the internship ..because I am a second year student and not interacted much about these things for now

Placements are better than any other nit or college at the same level because it ia one of the most oldest nit of india .tieup with other industies and companies is quite good and being the best college of chattisgarh state it gets a benefit of it and conpanies offer a good package to students

There are three major events in our college that take place every year...first is samar ...the sports fest of Nit Raipur...it is one of the most attractive event in central india ...2nd is aavartan the technical fest of Nit Raipur ..and 3rd is ecklectika the cultural fest of Nit raipur

I feel fee structure is quite expensive if no scholarships are available ...although fee structure is divided into three categories... below 1 lakh income....between 1 to 5 lakh income ......and above 5 lakh income.....there is almost negligible fees for sc and st students and below 1 lakh income students.

Scholarship of twenty five thousand is given by chattisgarh government to backward students and having low family income .....apart from it loan facilities are also available and one can avail student loan for taking admission

Campus life is quite good ...we have amul parlour for chilling out...our own railway station which is quite unique and you won't find it anywhere else...sports facilities are available if you are good in any sport...robotic events takes place every year ...and our team have also won events on iit guwahati and many other colleges

Hostel facilities are above average but hostel rooms are less in quantity and one has to maintain a higher cpi to apply for the hostel as only 30 percent of the students get hostel due to less availability of rooms ...mess food is below average and students spend their money to get a better food

Aluminiea provided an amount of 10 lakh for a team of shell eco marathon to participate in a compitition in Singapore and they are really helpful

Admission process was all about cracking joint entrance exam mains..jee mains..I prepared for jee mains in kota and also took drop for preparation and after all this I scored 157 marks in mains ...so I got this nit at the time of counselling ...you have to freeze the nit and then report at the particular college

Some faculties are old. We get the benefit of their experience but at the same time, they are lazy and a bit demotivating. We feel a communication gap between faculties and the students.Young faculties are better but at the same time faculties have different ascent so we feel it difficult to cope up with their ascent
