Course Curriculum Overview
I always loved computers, so that's why I took computer science. I recommend choosing your preferred branch rather than college, as any private college is almost the same. The first-year curriculum is mostly irrelevant to the branch you have chosen, so that is something which can be improved. The exams in VIT are easy if you prepare.
Placement Experience
The placements at VIT are very good. Over a thousand companies come for placements, with their own criteria. There is a lot of competition for the packages of 10+lpa, as you would be competeing with about 2000 students at a time. Highest packages are mostly international packages of 100k USD, while average package is 9lpa. The placement is 100%. ...........................................................
Fees and Financial Aid
VIT is only good if you select lower categories, as in category 5, the fees are too expensive. I'm not aware of many scholarship grants, as they are mostly reserved for the underprivileged. If you add up all the fees and hostel and other miscellaneous, the total fee can reach upto 27 lacs for category 5, which is really expensive. The only redeemer is that placement offers good opportunities.
Campus Life
There are uncountable number of events held in VIT, but the main ones would be TechnoVIT and Vibrance.they are held in november and march respectively. The Library of VIT is very good with many books on all subjects available. The classes are old-fashioned, with no dome shaped classes. There is a projector though. The sports clubs are active and good with many events held. The social clubs are also excellent.
Hostel Facilities
There is an AC which has no remote available and centrally controlled, but it can be adjusted using ir of many smartphones. The washrooms are cleaned regularly, and since a new block is built for freshers, the buildings are also clean. The meals are not that good, they severely lack protein, which may cause many to lose muscle and weight. The hostel rooms are AC or non-AC, 2,4,6 bedded rooms, amd many other things, depending on how much you pay.
Admission
Minimum of 60 percent in 12th boards PCM is required. Application can be found online in vit website. The application dates vary year to year, but exams usually occur in june-july. The difficulty of the entrance exam is easy, with no negative marking. The admission process can be improved if more documents are made digital rather than bringing many documents physically.
