- The college has a better diversity compared to other colleges.
- Campus Life is good if you don't indulge yourself in any of the clubs.
- The faculties of Mechanical is one of the best with some exceptions.
Dislikes
- The clubs and all are so time consuming that one would just stay in the club untill 4am.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum might be a bit outdated but the best thing about my course is that it's the best amount the Indian institutes i.e. SVNIT is ranked amongst the top for its mechanical engineering course in India due to its diverse course and working experimental apparatus.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that come for internships include PSU, some IT companies and the rest are the ones which you can apply online. The companies differ from year to year, like sometimes Boeing would come and give internships, and sometimes ISRO.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarships are available to the students and they can be availed by students through some procedures in which the GS will help the students for this also. The professors don't offer any stipend for the projects but the help you get a lot of knowledge.
Campus Life
The clubs are pretty much active but they take a lot of your time but on the other hand they also help you improve yourself by letting you do everything by yourself with no involvement of the professors. We even have our own cultural and technical events organised completely by the students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel provided for 1st year students is very bad with very bad food and washrooms that has water leaking from every place. The best hostel is ABVP bhavan which has been constructed quite recently.
Admission
I took admission through jee mains in which I got a rank of approximately 29k. With this i easily secured my seat in Mechanical Engineering through jossa counciling. The cutoff was around 40k if I am not wrong for general category boys.
