Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is fine. In the First year all the students in the course will have the same course. Labs that are conducted are helpful for real-world applications. As there are many students from different places I would suggest teaching in English which is more helpful to students. The exams happen every 2 to 3 months for one semester. The difficulty level is medium not so hard
Placement Experience
The placements were good in IT up to last year. But due to the recession last year now the placements were slow. However, students who have good coding skills and knowledge about DSA are getting good placements. The average package is 16 to 17 LPA in IT. A maximum above 90% of people in IT are getting placements according to the records.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is the same here for every year it just varies with the semester. For every semester there is a registration process after that we can proceed with the fee payment. There is a fee compensation for reservation students and PWD students. Scholarships are also available for students with less income certificate and there is a scholarship which applies to everyone. It was selected based on a test conducted by the college or according to the previous class grades.
Campus Life
The campus is not so big as other nit's or iit's but it was good. There are many clubs that students can based on their interests. There is a library in the college, every student should get a library card to take any books from the library which is given by the college. The college infrastructure was ok. A few fests happen every 3 to 4 months. Mostly the fests happen in January month.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is the main problem for students in NIT RAIPUR. Every student here doesn't get the hostel. The hostel is given to the students based on their CPI. At present, I am in the hostel of NIT RAIPUR. The food was ok, there is the same menu for every week. There is an application process for the hostel where you have submit few required documents to the warden of the hostel.
Admission
The admission process for NIT Raipur follows a standardized procedure. Eligibility criteria typically involve minimum academic requirements and clearing entrance examinations like JEE MAIN for undergraduates and GATE for postgraduates. Application forms are available online with fees. JEE MAIN, conducted twice a year by NTA, serves as the primary entrance exam for undergraduates, known for its high difficulty due to its extensive syllabus. Reservation benefits are available here. Few areas to be improved during admission process is the declaration of dates few days before the actual deadline.
