A review on Vignan's University

The course curriculum is very good and well structured, The subjects are planned in such a way that we will start from the basics and learn deeper things while coming close to the graduation. Some of the subjects are practical oriented as well we will get adequate practical knowledge and it helps us in real-world appilcations or further academic pursuits. The areas that my department can improve is they can implement some practical subjects that will help us learn softwares like autocad, Revit, Staad pro etc..., The class timings are from morning 8 to evevning 4 o clock. Sometimes leisure periods will be there in that time we can work on other works as well.

The companies that offered internship opportunities for our department is Vishwasamudra. It offered our seniors with site engineer post to check the project's ongoing status. All the work a site enginner to do is to check the project time to time, Chech the labour working properly or not, This is a 6 month internship which is offering 15k per month stipend with rooms providing by the company itself.

From 7th semester we are eligible for campus placements, The companies that visited our campus are TCS, Amazon, Vishwasamudra(core company for civil engineering) etc.., The highest package offered was 44lakh from Amazon. The average package is around 2.5 to 3 lakh. In our department 90% of our seniors are placed. After my completetion of Btech i would like to go for higher studies.

There is no increase in the fees once you opted for the branch you choose it will be final, But you can avail scholarships based on your Intermediate marks, VSAT marks, JEE marks, EAPCET marks as well. My complete cost of education is around 9 lakhs (1 lakh per year course fees and 1 lakh 20 thousand per year for hostel) including the hostel fees as well. If you fail to maintain proper cgpa (above 7) you will lose your scholarship and you have to pay the full fees of the course you opted. I have employed myself as a Part time construction asisstant's and I am receiving 2000/- per month. My job is to check for any repair in the buildings and assist in the new construction projects as well. Mtech scholars will get 15000/- stipend per month.

The annual fests that are conducted in the university are MAHOTSAV (Sports and cultural fest most probably conducted in FEB) & SRUJANANKURA (Technical fest most probably conducted in March). The library here is full of books and per subject there can be around 40-50 books for each author and two to three authorsfor each subject, We can avail the books by registering ourselves in the library book by using 1 passport size photo and our registration number, They will provide a small book for noting down the book you took and there will be a due date of 15 days from the day you take the book. Smart boards and Projectors are used in the classrooms and there are lot of technological provisions. There are lot of sports offered in the college cricket, Badminton etc.. There are lot of student clubs in the college as well. You can join any club you want. You will be given credentials for student portal in that you can check your attendance and internal and external marks.

In the hostel we are provided with individual cupboards and beds as well. The washrooms are common for one type of rooms and individual are also provided in some room types. The mess and food quality is always the highest priority in our college, The food and the quality of it is of the highest quality and all the parents who do visit the campus are very happy about the food and it's quality. Registration process is quite simple you have to fill a form which includes your room details and fees details which you have to get signed by the Chief warden. Hostel fess will be around 1 lakh which is affordable these days. You have to pay electricity bill(The bill will be on shared basis depending on how many roommates you have) I am staying in the inside hostel from my first year and I had never opted for a room or PG with the facilities we are being provided.

The admission process in Vignan isn't a tedious task. You can enter into college based on intermediate marks, Jee marks, Eapcet marks, VSAT(conducted by university) exam. There is nothing like eligibility criteria in this college, If you want to do any course you can do, Based on the criteria you choose for the marks you will avail the scholarship. You can fill the application form offline in the A-block (Administrative block) or one can contact the University and they can fill the appilcation form for you and you can recieve the form once he/she comes to the college. They will conduct the exam after the completion of the exams for Intermediate 2nd year. The college can reduce the student group intake and take quality students based on the examination conducted.
