Likes
- The infrastructure, as mentioned before, my college is very well maintained, looked after, clean and has a lots of trees
- The Department heads, they are really keen on helping you in any situation be it academic or any other issue
- The labs, my course calls for various things such as machinery, circuits, electric equipment to better understand various topics and these are easily available in the labs of the college.
Dislikes
- There is a hierarchy rule between the students and the faculties like the one that would be found in schools. In my opinion this acts as barrier against the understanding between the students and the faculties
- The college does not offer any proper summer vacation which is very much needed given the extreme weather conditions of the location of the institute
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is great for the most part but there are some subjects which might be irrelevant to the course and are added just to occupy the students' time to make it through the day. The exams are conducted twice every semester (not including the final end semester exam) and the difficulty level is definitely above moderate and it dose make you put the effort in during the exams.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd year and there are placement releted programs even before that, companies such as wipro, cisco, rakuten, IBM, accenture, cognizant and microsoft are some of the companies I know that visits the college. The highest package offered is said to be around 25 LPA and the average package is said to be 4.5 LPA and the placement percentage is around 80 percent. I am undiced for now about my plans aftergetting the degree, I would not mind job that interests me and pays well but I am also considering to go for a masters degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee for under graduate for most of the courses is around 115000 lakhs and the admission fee is around 20000. I have not come across any scholorship scheme which is provided by the college itself most of the students enroll through TSEAMCET. The estimation of the complete course would be well over 6 lakhs. Campus employment does not seem to be a bright option for the students as most of them incline more towards placements or pursuing further education
Campus Life
The overall experience of the campus is excellent, I observed a well maintained and friendly envioenment for the most part there are activities such as sports events, annual day celebration, college fests and various club activities to indulge in. The overall infrastructure of the college is nice and convinient it is systematic and clean. The books that are related to the curriculum are easily available in the libraries. There are projectors installed in the classrooms for more convinent learning experience
Admission
I enrolled in my college through a special scholarship scheme provided by the government for students from my region so the most of the process was simple but the college administration had no idea about it so it was quite a hassle. The admission forms, fees, and all the other details were provided at my scholorship portal. There a two mid terms and one final sem exams that takes place every semester which are of above moderate level
