What Students Say
Likes
- Extra curricular activities, Campus life
Dislikes
- The new R22 regulation that is being implemented
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus is up to date and satisfactory. But the recently adapted R22 regulation is providing more challenges for the institute and students. Different kind of testing during modules 1 and 2 would yield better results.
Internships Opportunities
4-2 semister is completely dedicated for internships. For the students who decided not to go for internships, a project is necessary for them to earn the credits. An Interdisciplinary project is mandatory for every student in third year. Minors and Research honors are provided for interseted students
Placement Experience
Campus placements are satisfactory. Till last year almost every student got placed, thus the institute is maintaining high placement percentage. The recent recission has brought a big blow to the students and institute this year with not many getting placed. However, it is the same every where, so the campus cannot be put at fault. Campus recruitment training programs are provided from 2nd year itself
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee varies depending on the department. For CSE, CSE specialisations and IT, it is Rs.260000. You can get either 25%, 50% or 75% scholarship based on your previous merit. It is in first come first serve basis and the number of students who can avail scholarship is limited.
Campus Life
There is always some kind of activity going on in the institute. Students are frequently given oppuritunities to go out and exhibit their talents in outside competetions. There are two fests every year, MAHOTSAV-A national level sports and cultural fest and SRUJANANKURA-A national level tech fest. The college life is pretty decent and oppurtunities are provided for students talented in extra curricular activities. Almost all of the classrooms in the college are equipped with a smart board and AC. Library is vast and diverse with many books available.
Hostel Facilities
For boys, hostels are provided for first and second years within the campus only. However, for 3rd and final year students hostels are out of campus and it is a bit problematic. For girls all four years are within the campus only, but have many restrictive rules. As far as the facilities are concerned, the hostels are up to the mark in cleanliness and food safety. For boys taking up AC hostels would be preferrable as they are builr recently, The extra fees you pay for AC rooms is worth it.
Admission
Anyone can take admission in the college as there is no minimum cutoff. But merit students will be awarded with scolarship. However, the number of students who can avail scolarship is limited. It goes on first come first serve basis. I had to settle for 50% scolarship despite being elligible for 75%. Scholarships are awarded based on EAMCET, JEE, VSAT ranks or your board exam score. Submit the proof that you have required cutoff to get a scholarship.
