What Students Say
Likes
- Great placement percentage , excellent infrastructure
- Equal importance to other activities like clubs , sports , extra-curricular activities along with studies
- Good waste management in campus to make the campus plastic waste free
Dislikes
- Mess food quality is not good , need to change as soon as possible
- Recently they shifted two canteens from the food street to the other corner of campus because of the rush , but it caused most students to walk more to buy something to eat incase of bad taste of meals in mess.
- Recently they introduced a CGPA criteria for joining the clubs or to participate in any inter-nit sport or game , which is not mandatory , not every person can excel in study , some can excel in other activities , putting a cgpa criteria ie not good
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and programme outcomes are very interesting in my chemical engineering course Along with the theory they also taught practical classes with lab experiments which are having advanced top-notch experiment equipments. In our department we have 4 to 5 laboratories Like mass transfer, heat transfer , fluid particles and mechanics , process instrumentation etc where we can learn practical knowledge for the theory we learnt in the classrooms We have a systematic procedure for conducting examination Minor-1 which will be in 3 to 4 weeks after commencement of classes Midterm : after six-7 weeks of classes Minor-2 after 3 weeks of mid End term : 12 weeks after start of semester
Internships Opportunities
Coming to the internships , we are eligible to attend campus internship drive from the 5th semester The roles offered depends on the company that visited to hire for internships Roles includes Software development Product design Data engineer and scientist Data analyst Graduate engineer trainee Application design Etc., I haven't applied for any internship because at that time I was not prepared for the drive I just keep on preparing for the FTE rather than internship But I have done a private internship in a industry related to chemical engineering which mainly focuses on paper production. The internship experience was good

In hostel rooms Individual Cup boards with locking system are provided if it is a sharing room along with a separate study chair and table for study purpose to an individual and hangers to hang the clothes and 1 to 2 windows for ventilation. We have three different messes namely institute food court IFC-A , IFC-B , and C which is sufficiently large to accommodate 300-400 people at a time They will charge Rs 115/- per Day They will give for min 10 to max 30 days card The mess food was not that good , during my 1st year it was nice but day by day the quality was reduced (this is my personal opinion , might change depending upon individual) .Registration for hostel is completely online We have a online portal called WSDC and SMILE In which the hostel fee verification and room allotment and results of the semester will be uploaded In My opinion the hostel fee Is affordable when compared to the PG and outside hostel prices.
