Pros and cons of my college

I love mechanical Engineering so I took this course, our college arranges various workshops and seminar session to introduce students of industrial standards and i believe the curriculum should be updated as the trend is changing rapidly and coming to exams we have 1 mid term, 1 end term and along with 2 minor exams for a sem the difficulty depends on subject and faculty assigned.

This year companies like ITC came to my college with an internship stipend of 220000 pm under ITC kites campaign and each year Microsoft also comes to select students for internship as well as PPO opportunity

Placement in my college are quite decent famous companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, Accenture, come to my college to select students regularly the highest package offered in my college was 88LPA and the median package for all branches combined is around 18LPA. For now around 90 percent of eligible students got placed and I got placed and am planning to work for now.

We have to pay 66000 rupees each sem as a tuition fee and for people with low income can avail fee remuneration. Tuition fee does not changes much and each academic year in the odd sem we have to pay a compulsory 10000 rupees towards student welfare fee. A student is eligible for a scholarship if he tops his branch in academics.

My college arranges a various events to entertain students, we also have annual sprig spree which is held in April of each year for 3 days and also we have a tech event Technozion which is held in mid October and sports events are also organised regularly

For first years we are assigned a single accomodation rooms which has its own window and has plenty of sunlight and ventilation and as for 2nd and 3rd year the accomodation varies from 3 person to 2 person per room and for final years the accomodation is single occupancy and the room are decent with sharing washroom and are maintained fair enough Coming to food we have privately owned catering services and coming to the taste the food is below average

Admission process was tough as only 2% of whole applicants who appeared for jee are eligible for top colleges, i wrote my jee in 2020 and scored 98.7 percentile and was lucky enough to get a seat in NIT Warangal mechanical department, I didn't availed any reservation benifits. The exam was conducted twice in a year then and I personally felt April attempt as tough. If possible I believe more seats are to be introduced so that more students can get a chance to study in a better college.
