Looking into a student-doctor's life

This is very practical course and in the current scenario I feel more care towards the Healthcare system should be taken. We need more Healthcare workers. Health is something priceless to own these days . And all humans own basic rights to have these facilities. Making of a doctor is totally about real-world applications. I think I need not to say about this much more . First and second year of this course is mainly on paraclinical subjects and that is needed because they are basics . A suggestion from my end will be those subjects in fact all the subjects should be taught in a more interesting way and not just memorizing because the syllabus of the subject is very vast and huge on its own

After 1st prof , 2nd prof , 3rd prof - Part 1 commonly known as 3rd yr and 3rd prof - Part 2 or final year which all total takes 4.5 years after that 1 yr internship opportunity is provided In the hospital of the respected college and stipend is provided and they may even choose their hospitals for internship but stipends are less

WBUHS took admission fee 6600 including library fee and first semester tuition fee . And for registration later we submitted 4000 more . Each semester fee is 4500 and for first professional examination we'll have to suit 1800 more to appear in the examination . The West Bengal government provides Swami vivekananda merit scholarship for medical students upto 60000 rs annually. Like our college " College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital " has it's annual academic fest named Astracura and annual cultural fest named Asterica and they are typically held during the September-October months . As far I've seen the library I saw only subject related books. And about sports I've seen people playing on campus streets various games like cricket , volleyball , badminton etc as our campus don't have a well designed field and other extracurricular activities such as dance , singing, sketching , fashion show , quiz etc many opportunities are there and there are separate clubs for each activities

As we are first year now we are provided two dormitories : small one - accommodating 10 students and large one : accommodating 22 students . We are provided with a cot , light and fan ( have to share among side partners ) . Meals are quite good and we have plenty of choices . We have to take our customisable meal with prepaid coupons. We had to fill a hostel application form while admission in order to get hostel facilities.

The admission process was kind of hectic because I had to arrange so many documents . This course can be opted through taking the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test . The West Bengal Medical Council released the application form once the counseling starts . Exams are somewhat difficult because 50% is the passing criteria and questions often come a bit difficult and obviously subjects are difficult....reading 19 different subjects in 4.5 years is not really easy . Exams are taken semester wise and internal part completion tests are taken ..and each year the final exam is also taken which is known as prof. Exam .
