An experience of lot of experiences

Our course deals with pathogens of the plant, their study their aetiology, the diseases caused by them, their management. By practical point of view, we study techniques t isolate, culture, identify and quantify the organisms related to our subject. Our Institute is involved in many research projects. We are free to choose our elective subjects from any department, but generally, our department students go for courses in entomology and plant physiology, plant genetics and breeding. Also, we have compulsory statistics courses.

In pg level, there is no internship from the side of college. But now they have launched earn while you learn, but it has not yet come into force.

We have a placement committee here and each department has a representative in that committee. Companies like GSFC Agrotech Ltd., Trinitron healthcare Ltd. have recently come up. The cell is working with full force.

We have Shrishti: cultural fest, Sahas: sports meet. Besides this university, level fests like spending are also there. Yes, college authorities contribute them.

Fee structure of IAS BHU is very cheap, our semester fee is within ?4000s including hostel fees for general seat students. Do paid seat students pay 15000 per semester, which is subject to change from batch to batch.

Scholarship provision is only for disabled, SC, ST students. The loan facility is not required as fees are low.

Yes, I reside in the hostel. I share it with another one student. Our hostel fee is also very feasible around 2000 per semester, and mess fees come around 2500 per month where we are provided with four meals a day. Food quality and quantity both are good. of course, it can be as good as home, but yes I can swear that our hostel is a very one, in terms of infrastructure, food, facilities and maintenance.

Alumni network is also good. Recently on 4th Nov, Alumni fest was organised and students were allowed to interact with alumni too.

Our faculty members are highly qualified, most of them are PhD holders, and have many reviews in different journals. They are very interactive as well as encouraging. We are encouraged to participate in seminars and conferences, we can freely ask queries to our faculty. Standard of teaching is average though, some professors teach brilliantly but fail some to deliver their knowledge in the class.
