My experience In MSIT

the placement records could be improved if more companies would visit the campus.

The infrastructure, academic records and the placement records were pretty appealing, so I decided to go for this MSIT. It is also among the Top 5 colleges in Indraprastha University. I got alloted CSE branch in my college in my second counseling which was my choice of stream.

The course curriculum is made available to the students as soon as they join college and the same is available on the IPU main website. The syllabus is usually divided into 4 units for every subject. This syllabus can easily be accessed on to IPU main website.

College societies organise internship fairs every now and then that helped a lot of students to get internships.

There are basically two college fests every year. The cultural fest is called 'genesis' where the entire college, that is, including MSI participate in events and activities with other colleges as well. The Tech fest is called "Avensis' that is held separately with different events and activities as well.

The total annual fee for the batch of 2014-2018 was around 90,000. This amount also includes the fees book bank from where students would get their curriculum books for the semester. There were no extra charges or fee for the exams except for the backlogs.

None that I know of.I never avail any scholarship or loan facility by the college but I am sure there must be a few.

There are a few restrictions on bunking lectures and sitting inside the college .being an engineering college, the gender ratio is pretty low for girls. Although,it seems about the same in other courses. MSIT has it's football teams, badminton teams( for girls and boys) and a band that participates in various inter-college events.

There are two hostels-for girls and for boys with a common mess. The rooms and other facilities seemed fine to me.No one ever really complained about the quality of the mess food or any other facility. The wardens keep a strict eye on every hostel student, especially girls.

The seniors are very helpful.I never interacted with my seniors that much but whenever got a chance to,everyone I come across was very sweet and helpful.

There are two sessionals and one end semester exam every semester. Passing cutoff or marks for each subject is 50. There is a credit system for all the subjects that need to be met to clear through your entire semester. The total marks out of 100 include 25 internal and 75 marks from your external end semester exam.

I sat for the IPU CET that is a common entrance test for admissions in all the colleges that come under IPU.The IPUCET rank cut-offs decide the college allotments which can be further upgraded throughout various counsellings. The entire counselling process takes place online.

The faculty members of the college could be contacted directly. Students are allowed to go to staff rooms and put forward their queries directly to the concerned member. The office staff is pretty helpful as well. However, the morning shift faculty is usually available till 3 pm so, the students used to contact their respective faculty within their shift timings.
