Course Curriculum Overview
I will give 3.8/5 for the course curriculum as it has almost all the fields required to train an Engineer for future aspects. It was the brand name that influenced me to opt for the course with Amity University. With utmost honesty, the curriculum, however, is based mostly on theories and on-page documentation which I feel a bit shifted from real-world applications. The teaching method could be improvised by enabling more visually interactive learning.
Placement Experience
The campus has a great placement opportunity. Students can opt for "Interested In Placements" or "Not interested in placement" as per there choices. Students are eligible for placements after 7th Semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for Btech courses was around 30000 to 40000 per sem. However, the scholarship was given to students getting more than 8 SGPA. The scholarship program was based on a 25%, 50%, and 100% pattern. However, to avail of the scholarship, there should be a minimum of 30 students in the class. The college doesn't provide any financial assistance however, there are third-party banks that come to the campus to provide such services.
Campus Life
The overall experience was good. The campus is vast and there is a lot of greenery. The campus is situated however in the outskirts of Raipur, which gives a great vibe to both urban and rural areas. Amity University celebrates its annual sports day which mostly falls in October. The sports fest is an aggregation of all the sports like from indoor to outdoor. Amity also organizes an annual fest named AmiSpark for students in which students can participate in various cultural programs like Singing, Dancing, Poetry, etc. There are also several clubs which are now actively founded in the college campus like Pet club, Nukkad Natak Club etc.
Admission
Amity University is situated in the heart of Chhattisgarh, Raipur. The campus is filled with greenery of more than 50 acres. The course eligibility is based on a small test which is called AMITYJEE for Btech courses. Talking about the admission, it was smooth starting with a basic form filling which cost me around 1100 Rs/-. The form can be found on the official website of Amity at amity.edu/raipur/. The admission process started with a brief introduction about the college the campus and the courses Amity University provides. The admission process almost took a day with new joiners doing Hawan and interacting with mentors. The exams were based on a semester-wise pattern with unit tests or CTs with a maximum of 10 marks and sem-end exams with 70 marks. The difficulty of exams was moderate depending upon the subject. The admission process ends with an interview which I feel should be changed with GDs with new joiners.
Interview Experience
There's a test conducted by Amity University named AMITYJEE for Bech students. After the test, the evaluation takes 2 days and after the evaluation, there's an interview with your mentor for further onboarding.
