Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Information Science because it has near-future relevance like data science, data mining, and so on. Our curriculum prepares us for real-world applications by making us work on experiential learning and real world projects like visual computing. The frequency of exams is good only, since teachers put a lot of effort into conveying the topics properly.
Placement Experience
The placement in college is at the top compared to other local colleges. The placements on our campus are 99 percent since that 1 percent consists of those who want to pursue higher studies and civil service. The companies that come to our college are SAP, HP, Microsoft, JPMorgan and others. The highest package last year was 92 lacs for 3 people. They were from Information Science and Computer Science. The Average Salary is 14 lacks. My Plans after studies is placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is rupee 99,806 per year. This fee includes of fee structure of tuition fee , miscellaneous fee and skill lab fees. And State Government offers a scholarship for graduation students which is rupee 18,100. The campus employment opportunities are very huge. The quality of placements is also up to standards since lots of reputed companies come to recruit from our college .
Campus Life
The campus life is very exciting because of the ice-breaking session that is conducted every year for freshers in our college. Focusing on social aspects we have "NSS" and "Rotract Club " which extensively focus on social welfare. There are numerous technical clubs and traditional clubs available for exploration. Lastly speaking about the Infrastructure of our college is spread out over 50 acres in which we have two playgrounds, one is for football and the other is for cricket. We also have a basketball court. We have 7 department blocks.
Hostel Facilities
I stay in hostel . We have two sharing per room in the hostel. They provide cold water for drinking 24/7 and hot water to bath . The meal in the hostel is not soo bad. They provide only Vegetarian Food in hostel Mess . The quality of food is a bit above the average level . The process of getting room in hostel is very simple i.e first come first serve. The hostel is bit expensive compared to local PG's and rented rooms.
Admission
I took the KCET entrance exam held only in Karnataka, for out-of-Karnataka students they have a separate exam called COMEDK. The admission process consists of two common rounds and one special round. In the first two rounds, most of the seats fill up and after counseling date to visit the college will be given. We are to visit the college and complete the admission process.
