Krishna Chaitanya's Review On GITAM, Visakhapatnam

I have written the GAT exam (GITAM admission Test), which is conducted by the University to take 10+2 pass outs into this degree. I have scored 4th rank in the exam and attended the counselling and got a seat at GITAM University.

The course curriculum consists of 8 semesters each semester consists of 7 Theory and 5 practicals. It is well built in a structured manner to train to student to fit into an industry or workplace or into the research side, whichever the student is interested in.

Nope, our college doesnt offer any kind of internship to outside students.However, after the course completion, few companies like vimta labs, Hetero Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer and esai come for recruitment of students.

After the course completion, few companies like vimta labs, Hetero Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer and esai come for recruitment of students.Almost everyone would be offered a job and the mean salary package will be something around 1.2 lakhs to 2 lakhs (Since Freshers) for people interestred in wet labs.For the one's who are interested in marketing, the package would be around 2.5-3.8 lakhs.

Every year, our institute celebratesa national level scientific symposium which also includes culturals. However, the entire university celebrates another fest in the name of GUSAC.Youth fests are also being conducted every year.

Fee structure is a bit expensive, since fees-reumbersment is not applicable as it is a deemed university. The fees for UG programme is 75k per year whereas the fees for PG program is around 2.32 lakhs per annum.

Topper of the semester will be awarded a cash of 10k rupees on the basis of merit and means basis. 5% of a class strength can avail this merit cum means basis scholarship.

It has a strong aluminin who are well settled in abroad or been workinig in different pharma comnpanies. The seniors would me much helpful and is completely a ragging-free campus.

Exams will be conducted as semester. Twice a year each sem has 3 mids and one lab internal exam along with the main semester and lab practical exam.

Overall there are 16 faculty members. Everyone are either enrolled for a Ph.D or awarded a Ph.D with a teaching experience of minimum of 5 years in the field of Pharmacy.The accent of few faculty is quite different but when it comes to subject, they are t
