Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum when I joined the college i.e in 2021 was old curriculum with students need to study subjects like physics, chemistry, maths , workshop in 1st year. From 2nd year there branch related subjects start I am a computer science student so in 3rd semester subjects like data structures and Java start. But after new education policy the curriculum has become more tough and revelant the students study subjects like data structures in 2nd smester and computer architecture in 3rd semester. We have 2 exams in a semester mid sem and end sem . Mid sem of 20 marks and endsem of 60 marks and extra exams like class test, quiz etc for internal 20 marks. These exams are fairly tough with fairly tough evaluation.( But mostly evaluation depends from professor to professor)
Internships Opportunities
The students become eligible for internship in 5th semester. The companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon , Atlasian, Microsoft, Wells Fargo etc these companies provide stipend of 1 lakhs to 1.5 lakhs per month for 2 months internship role.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students become eligible for a campus placement. More than 200 companies visited with names like Oracle, Microsoft, atlasian, Goldman sacs , Google, ola , master cards , Amazon etc. Average package depends from branch to branch with around 20 lakhs for CSE. Around 95% students gets placement generally but due to ression this year only 60 percentage students got placed till now and average package of around 10 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in around 97k per semester for a general category students and if hosteler than 25k extra for mess fees. Students from ST or SC category or students with family income less than 1 lakh per year gets tuition fees off i.e 62k rupees less than general category students. Campus employment is in form of internship and placement.
Campus Life
There are no monthly fest . Annually there are 2 fest named with avishkar and culrav. There are wide range of books available in Library with library timing from 10am to 8pm. The facilities use chock and green board to teach bit some time they use to teach on sildes . For sports there are 2 grounds.
Hostel Facilities
There are many hostels named with SVBH , Tilak, Tandon, Patel,Malviya and New hostel. Students from 1st year gets SVBH , 2nd year Patel and Tilak. 3rd year Tandon+Malviya+Tilak and final year gets new hostel. The hostel are above average. The mess quality is above average and we get food like rice ,roti sabji .
Admission
To be eligible u need to clear jee mains exam and have more than 75% in 12th board or be in top 20 percentile of your state board exam of class 12. After clearing jee mains you need to seat in josaa counselling. The jee mains exams is tough exams you need to prepare very very well to clear it. Reservation benefits are there a ST candidates gets same course at 92 percentile as the general category students get at 99 percentile
