Course Curriculum Overview
Here the facility members are truly supportive. They prepare us for every possible outcomes. I would rate 10 under 10 for the course I've choosen. I was influenced to choose this subject because of my previous school teacher like how he really helped us too in what we are good at . Here the professors prepares us for real world applications, including all the practical work that needs to be done. There are some Little experienced teachers who needs to express more to us, help us in guiding. Their teaching mechanism needs to improve. Timing of exams are pretty good, it happens in 6months along with the practicals
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees here is bit high because of the course and because the college is semi private. Here the fees is given according to semisters. Yes. The college do provides scholarships, financial assistance. And the college also provides internships and placements opportunities. The complete cost of my education, including tuition, service fees and other compulsory charges adds up to proximate 5 lakhs.
Campus Life
My overall experience is pretty good. The campus of this college is not so huge, but not so bad. It focuses on many different societies clubs. Students have won match in sports and extra curricular activities that are offered here are good.
Admission
The admission process wasn't hard. You can get the application form in the college website itself. It's under Calcutta University so no entrance exam was conducted by the college. The cut-off was starting from 75% . The application fees is ?500 and the application dates starts from May/June. When the eligibility lists comes out after that they'll conduct a day of councelling for the choosen subjects nd if we need any help regarding choosing the subjects. I have choosen Geography honours as my major so for geography the eligibility criteria is English, Geography, Maths. Shri Shikshayatan College is a nice and very strict college in Kolkata to study for. The timing of exams are taken in six months along with practicals. Yeah it is difficult because we are studying in Calcutta University and the major is geography.
