Course Curriculum Overview
The course provides a research work in the fourth year to the students who obtained 7.5 CGPA in 3 years. The course follows the latest NEP(National Education Policy) curriculum. The facilities are well mannered and very professional in teaching, though they explain in native language. There are also a lot of free seminars which help improve the student's skill during the course. The old classrooms just need to be upgraded, instead of using the old projector and blackboard. The dates for the end semester examinations are decided by the university itself. However the teachers take a lot of mock tests for the students to prepare for the end semester examination.
Internships Opportunities
There are internships that provide real time industrial experience. Expertise from companies like Samsung, Toyota , Wipro , IDFC , HDFC ,etc along with intership opportunities and certifications.After completing the masters in their fields the students can become Professor in that college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is fixed and does not change every now and then. The admission fee for the course was ?8530 and since the teachers teach very well the students don't need to take any personal tuitions or coaching. Since the college is affiliated with the Government of West Bengal the students are given a lot of scholarship opportunities to gramble. There are campus selections for bank jobs in the college for the students of 3rd - 4th semester and so on.
Campus Life
The college is nicknamed "The Karan Johar College" because events occur like every second week , recently The UMANG 2K23 was held in the college which was pretty successful. The students are given acces to 3 libraries through 3 different library cards. If a student wants a book , first they have to drop a request in the library request box if that book is available then the students can avail it easily for as long as they need. The students are seated on wooden benches and the teachers are provided a black board , chalk and a projector for elaborating presentations if necessary. Football and Cricket tournaments take place in the college annually. The college is very active in political means.
Admission
Eligibility: Minimum 60% in Biology or Biotechnology and aggregate 60% in all subjects. The application form is available on the official website of Asutosh College. The application form is free and open to students of all boards. The admission to any course is as follows: 1) Fillup of admission form on the official website of Asutosh College. 2) The admission is based on merit cum means. 3) Merit lists are released. 4) If the candidates name appear on the merit list , they can pay the fees and take admission according.
