- Another thing is some irrelevant courses in my academics , there are just theory based courses which has no use in further life.
- Another thing i didn't like is politics which affects more during the selections of any sports team , like the who is selector selects the people whom they know rather than who is capable.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is quite good. We have relevant courses those are related to our courses . Many of my mentors who helped me to crack JEE suggested me this course . Mechanical engineering is all rounded course . We can go to any sector from this so job opportunities are more. In few courses they teach us about the how machines work and how the things are really made. These are very useful courses in further academic pursuits. There should be improvement in courses of earlier semesters like some are not so relevant. Teachers should give more time in class and in students We have our semester exams in 3 steps Quiz 1 , Quiz 2 and then end semester exam . So exams are not hectic if a guy regurly attend classes and do studies on daily basis .
Internships Opportunities
We have internships facilities in our campus . Many companies offers different internship profiles in our campus , People can get internships in cooperat sector , in IT sector and many other sectors according to their choice. People who work on programing projects they can apply for the Software related internships
Placement Experience
Placements in our college are quite good . Students can apply according to their choices and interest in job profiles . People can apply at the end of 3rd year means by the end of 6th semester. Placement team works on these Placement session. Many popular and high rated companies visit in our college like Google , Microsoft, jaguar, tata, and many more companies come to our campus. Highest package in last ywar was 1.2 Cr something for the software job Average for mechanical engineering is 12.1 LPA So according to average salary placements are good . Around 85 % from mechanical engineering got placement last year which is a good percentage If I'll get good placement then I'll go with the job and if it'll be not as i expected then I'll prepare for CAT for the MBA course or I'll prepare for the UPSC .
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is according to the semesters Per semester there is tution fee of 1 lakh rupees , and hostel fees is around 35 thousands for per semester Those who belong to specific Categories get scholarship from many sources As I belong to sc category i also get scholarship from ministry because i belong to category and my family income is upto a certain limit So my total fees per semester is 11345 (tution fee ) + 35000 ( hostel fee) per semester and we have 8 semesters so my fees for my 4 yrs course will be around 4 lakhs There are many scholarships for the students.
Campus Life
Till now my overall experience with campus life is quite good We have many festivals here , one of them is Saarang which is cultural festival of IITM . There we have lots of fun and concerts . Saarang is for around 4-5 days . Many celebrities come for their concert and there we have dj coreo and many more nights during saaramg festival Another festival is Shastra which is a technical festival, In that fest many student bodies bring there experiment models and present tjose to people who came there to attend, and there are also many more events There we have a huge library in our campus , having more than 1lakh books. So library facility is amazing . There are many facilities available in classroom like we have projectors , we have AC facility , we have good furnitured class rooms Sports and extracurricular activities are also good , anyone can play there favorite sport in campus .there is a body called CFI in which many groups work on different projects like autonomous car and all
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good . Like rooms are good in condition Basic things like fan ,chair, table , cupboard and all are provided by hostel management. All the things are well maintained like cleaning on time washroom maintained and all. We have good mess food also . There is variety in food in mess . They have south and north 2 different sessions in mess. Meal quality is also good. Mess are hygienic also. Registration process is simple only. We just have to go to the hostel Registration portal by hostel management and there we have to fill the details and we have to make payment
Admission
Admission process was not so long , it took around a month for the Admission process and all.The main criterion for getting Admission is we have to clear JEE entrance examination. 1st stage of this examination is JEE mains those who get qualified can give JEE advanced exam , and from that you get your rank , cutoff rank for my clg and branch was around AIR 2000, Admission process means counselling is conducted by jossa , we can set our preference of collages and branches there and according to our rank we get our best choice . As i belong to SC category i got reservation during jossa counselling. My rank was not enough to get this collage but due to reservation policy i got best collage and branch.There are 6 rounds for jossa counselling. JEE exam is quite hard . Jee mains is of 3 hr exam . And jee advanced have 2 rounds ans each one is of 3 hours For the improvement, they should make if more convenient and more easy for the people who are new to technology.
