Course Curriculum Overview
Bcom hons is a UG level programme that is 3-year course consisting of 6 semesters. each semester includes 6 subjects to study. the major subjects In this course include accountancy, economics, business studies, income tax, ethics and governance and many more. it helps you in understanding the commerce related subjects more thoroughly and how the real world works. the course is good however it could be better by including extra curricular activities that focuses on adding skills and overall development of a student in communication skill and leadership abilities.
Internships Opportunities
you can get practical experience by doing the internship and applying the theoretical knowledge learned in college and school. these internships are usually short 1-2 months. where they give you a task and you have to fulfill it
Placement Experience
the 3rd year of the programme is when you become eligible for campus placements, students can enrol in various internship programmes in any year and improve their resume. students can go for MBA,mcom or any professional course like ca, cs after pursuing bcom
Fees and Financial Aid
Bhu bcom is a 3-year full-time programme at the ug level. the total course fee for 3 years is Rs 8960. the other charges like hostel fees are excluded. scholarship is provided to the students of Uttar Pradesh.
Campus Life
the overall experience of campus life is good, there are lots of activities and events undertaken to enhance college life and make it memorable. there is central library and on-campus library where you can borrow books and study peacefully with all the other students.
Admission
I enrolled in the b.com hons course provided by BHU in 2021. the application process was easy and smooth. I took the pet exam in 2021 conducted by Bhu in that year, however, now admission into UG AND PG courses of various central universities including BHU is conducted by NTA through CUETUG. after appearing for the exam, look for the cutoff provided, it is different according to sc/st/obc/general. if you are above the cutoff then proceed further with the counselling and admission process as directed by the respective university.
