Course Curriculum Overview
The course of electrical engineering is pretty well designed. The authorities keep revising the industrial needs and according to that, they change the course pattern. The practical knowledge is taken care of the most. Lab work must be perfect is one of the statements from our professors' side. Institute of technology, Nirma University has one program name 'The Idea lab' where research work is supported by both financial and knowledge-based. University has several types of electives: 1- Department elective (intra-branch) 2- Institute elective ( inter-branch) 3- Univesity elective (inter-faculty)
Internships Opportunities
Yes, they provide internships to students. I got one internship at the university in my 2nd year. They help students to get an internship.
Placement Experience
Placement is quite good and we are improving too. There were many MNC and other reputed companies visited the campus and recruited the students. Companies' name: Amazone, L&T, Goldmann Sachs, Mu Sigma, Maruti automobile, Adani, Fiat, Morgan Stanley, Essar, Nirma, TCS, Infossys etc. The percentage of placement is nearly around 70% and the average package was nearly 3.5lac/annum,
College Events
Nirma has many events. Cultural, Technical, social TEDx Nirma university is one of the events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is around 85k/sem. The amount little high, but the university has several schemes for those, whose family income is less. there is one alumni association which provides scholarships to students. It has a facility of BOOK BANK.
Hostel Facilities
For B.tech. they don't have a hostel. We accommodate ourselves in nearby PGs or Flats. Food in college canteen is awesome and hygienic and cheap.
Faculty
The minimum criteria for being a professor at the university is M.Tech. Every faculty is qualified at least up to M.tech. They all have mail id on university portal. We always keep in touch with our professors and they are highly supportive and humble too.
