Course Curriculum Overview
Mba is like a stepping stone to my career. It actually prepares me for my upcoming future by shaping me into a professional person. Iam basically a person who is from a commerce background and i do have a particular interest towards accounting and other related fields so i choose finance as my specialization in MBA. Actually the curriculum prepares me very efficiently for real world applications by providing more modular class beyond the theoritical experience. I would suggest some more practical teachings than the current teaching involving experts from the Fields. The exam is conducted online with 6 questions each one carrying 5 marks.
Internships Opportunities
Well iam only a first year student so i donot have any experience of it. However there are many comoanies like DHL, FEDEX who offers various placement opportunities in our college. The role depend on the specialisation you take and as per the job description provided by the companies. I havent done any project yet. Our main project will be in 4 semester.
Placement Experience
Our college do provide placements. Internships are provided from 4 th semester. A minimum attendance of 85 % is required for attending the internships. Many companies such as DHL, FEDEX. More than 75% of students gets placed. I am planning to get job through the placement
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees is about 500000 and is divided into four installments in which you have to pay the fees in jan and june. Actually when compared to other colleges it is affordable. There is also a scholarship for the students who studied under graduation in this college itself. Apart from it there is also another scholarship for students of karnataka state. I am actually first year student so there is no campus employment that i had undertaken.
Campus Life
The infrastructure facilitied provided by the college is excellent. There are basketabll court, food court, football turf, badminton court and many other facilities. One of the main event conducted in our college was gardenia, which was a grant event of 3 days. Apart from it there are also many other cultural and traditional events that are being conducted during different type period. The facilities inside the classroom include projectors, proper fan and lighting and proper infrastructure. We do have various sports and there is s college team. We do conduct intercollege competitions.
Admission
My admission process was actually partly online aswell as offline. Intially i paid 2000 as my registration fees and the balance amount was paid after coming to the college for taking my admission. The eligibility of my course mba was only 50% in graduation. I found the application form from the website of garden city university and the application fees and dates were also found on the website. In addition to it i clarified the fees by contacting the GCU managament. I didnot availed any reservation benefits as i belonged to general caste. Actually our exam was conducted based on an online system in which we have to type the answerd within one and half hour which consist of 6 questions each carrying on 5 marks. However i find it difficult to type the answers within the stipulated time. In addition to it i find it very difficult to draw the tables and diagrams in the system. I would prefer more clarity and accuracy in conveying the information.
