NIT JAMSHEDPUR ( a rough sketch)

The curriculum of BTECH MECHANICAL ENGG. BRANCH is very old according to me . There should be addition of some modern technologies used in mechanical field especially in automobile industries . The course structure is still the same as our grand parents (if studied there) had studied.

I donot kniw the clear details but there are good internship programs from 2nd year endings or in 3rd year. There are a lot of seniors who get intern in various companies. One of our senior got intern in Google and got a good stipend also

Campus placements are very good and internship programs also. Actually most of the students joins NIT Jamshedpur because of its placement history only . The college have a great alumni network and a tag of jamshedpur city also as Tata . There is 100% placements in Mechanical branch and the average package is around 13LPA .

The fee structure of Btech in NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY JAMSHEDPUR , is approx. 210000 per year including mess and hostels. But there are fee remessions in tution fee according to the family income. Actually the tution fee is 62500 per semester means 125000 per year. So if your family income is below 1 lakhs 100% tution fee waiver If between 1to 5 LPA --> 2/2rd fee waiver And you would get medical assistant of 2.5 lakhs also

According to me The campus structure including hostels mess and academic building is damn good enough compaired to others . But there is need to be improvement of overall structure including the bushes and wastelands , maintainance , sports facilities (there are good facilities like downs ground for cricket , football ground ,basketball court , volleyball court , gymkhana for table tennis and badminton , badminton court , lawn tennis court but i am talking of the maintainence ) . The social life and clubs are damn too good and active There are clubs in every field you can think of considering the technical team also. And fest are also good . we have Culfest as cultural fest held in January-february , Urja sports fest , ojaas tech fest and many more . We have events in almost every saturday sunday.

Hostel - I can talk of boys hostel only as i am not lucky to go to a girl's room in hostel !! You will be alloted hostel I (boys) and there you will get a room for 1 year . A double sharing room with two separate cupboards , two beds (without sheets) , 1 table (idkw they give 1) , the size of room is quite good . Acc to me it is a good room. Now there are blocks separated and each block have 14-15 rooms and 1 bathroom including 3 washrooms and 3 bathing rooms . +they are cleaned daily ) And Mess is good on some days . The food you get would be fair but not good. The menu is very good and quality too but rather you would be bored . Overall good hostel and mess. Mess food is good but not nourished !

In order to get admission in any National Institute of Technology NIT , the student should clear Joint Entrance Examination Mains JEE Mains and score as much as to clear the cutoff of your dream college. If we talk of my college , NIT JAMSHEDPUR , if you are a general candidate like me , You will get admission if your max rank in jee mains is around 30k outside homestate. You would be in great benefits if you are SC/ST and girl from the same state . Admission process is very easy If you have alloted NIT JAMSHEDPUR , then simply put all your documents (will be informed to you) in file and just visit the college on the given date and you would have to do nothing . Just follow what the person there say to do.
