Course Curriculum Overview
The course was very good and since its based on Practical Learning but it is not a professional course, so it is the normal Honors curriculum. NO, the college generally does not take up Research Initiatives. We had to choose one primary subject for Honors and 3 Additional Subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is not mandatory, but College provided internships in Summer and Winter Camps in various local companies. In our times the Stipend was about Rs. 1000 per month
Placement Experience
Placement was quite good, almost 60% of students got placed into several institutes. Generally, NO major companies will visit the college, but based on your efficacy and your degrees you might get into really good companies and your degrees are given importance since the college is a Government Institute. The package generally started in our times from Rs.5000 onwards. The scenario is definitely much better now
College Events
The college conducted one cultural event in a year, sponsored by local companies of Katwa. The average footfall is around 1000. The college authority had full cooperation with the event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since this is a Government College, the fee structure is quite cheap. In my time it was about Rs. 150 per semester and there was 4 semesters which were conducted by the University.
Fees and Financial Aid
The College does not provide any scholarship or loan, as it is a West Bengal Government Institute.
Hostel Facilities
The college does not have a hostel for boys, we had to accommodate ourselves in other ways, like PGs, which started from about Rs. 500 per month and on wards, as per your need.
Alumni/Alumna
Since most students are Localites, Alumni Network is very strong inside and outside college campus.
Faculty
The faculty were very efficient and friendly. I had no issues with the teaching staff and additional tutions are generally not necessary.
