JSSATEB : The ultimate review

I chose mechanical engineering in JSSATEB because of 2 reasons: 1. I was very interested in mechanical engineering and it was the only college providing this course at the last moment 2. The mechanical engineering branch in JSSATEB is one of the best I've seen, they have a racing team where we build the car and take part in races, and overall have the best faculty and machines They have to improve on real world application, may it be in theory or practical's . They have to be updated to the real world skills. But the faculty has given us the reality check and and what's happening in mechanical industries and told us not to expect much from this industry if you want to pursue it in India. We have only 2 internals in 3 months but we want 3 internals because they take best of 2 so if we have 3 internals we'll have more time to cope up and get better internal marks.

For mechanical Engineering through direct admission, it costs ?1,10,00 or plus and minus 10,000. It's almost equivalent to cet fees, where you don't get it in any college. Scholarships are not available for those who take direct admission or management seat, it's available for students from CET & COMEDK quota . More scholarships are given to students with reservations like sc/st etc Campus placements in mechanical is very low, don't keep hopes on core placement, but other departments get good placements in IT departments

JSSATEB has a fest called JSS VERVE which happens annually usually around April - June . It's a 3 day fest with DJ and Concert nights. There are several clubs where you can participate in our college. You can also represent our colleges in different fests These are the clubs that run in our college: Meraki - Drama Cadence - Music Dhwani (Ex music band) Tachyon Motorsport - Racing team JSS Cricket team, Football team, basket hall, kabaddi, kho kho and so many other sports Jss studio - Photography Arthouse - Design team Xstat - western dance team Abha - Eastern dance team You can start clubs and groups with like minded people with the permission of principal, Dean and the Core committee.

Admission was very smooth, the staff during admission was very polite and helpful. Went to enquire about the college and we did the pre admission procedure and decided to join on that day itself. There was a bit of communication issues from the college after admission but if they improve on communicating to the new joiners it's a very good admission procedure.
