Course Curriculum Overview
The course makes me a doctor in the future. It's tough, time taking and mind stuffing but it's enjoyable. Practicals is the heart and soul of medicine. From the very beginning they are a major concern. Research opportunities aren't intrinsic, many take the icmr sts with full support from the faculty. Also being part of SAMSA I get to share ideas and take them.
Internships Opportunities
I am still a student of 2nd year. Yes, internship is must to become a registered medical practitioner. Clinical rotations take you from medicine to surgery to obstetrics to pediatrics. You get to know and experience the foundation of your future while on it. The stipend amount is 20k a month
Placement Experience
Well, this question doesn't apply technically, we go for internships in our final year and with the deficit doctors are facing, no one really thinks on placement
College Events
We organise our annual fest and it's grand. Kaizma though happens limited to the college students, it has an enigma of its own
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a government college it's quite affordable. To study medicine in private can take 40-50 lakhs of rupees easily. But in any government medical college it's way cheaper. Specially in mine, the infrastructure is a bonus The monthly fee is a mere 750/- Hostel charges per month is 100/-
Hostel Facilities
Yes. Single as well as double. 100/- a month Food is standard. Ofcourse it isn't home, but it's healthy and cheap
Faculty
Quite qualified, experienced and knowledgeable. Depends on the specific faculty, the majority though are friendly and supportive. Well, frankly teaching is a combination of the knowledge of the subject and the passion to teach. The latter is somewhat lost in a field as medical teaching is what I felt. The infrastructure is great, and resourceful
