- The alumni network of HBTU is very strong and it's alumnis cam be found in almost every other company at good positions.
- The greenery in the campus is quite refreshing and provides a good atmosphere.
- The college timings are pretty good i.e. from 10 to 5 thus providing time for extra curriculars
Dislikes
- The campus area is small as compared to other good colleges
- The companys do not visit for internships which is quite disappointing.
- Sports facilites are not upto the mark. The infrastructure for the same must be built properly as per the standards.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is good and relevant. It is according to the New Education Policy( NEP). First year includes subjects from all the branches as well as engineering workshop so that the students can gain practical knowledge and get a practical approach for the real world.
Placement Experience
The placements are pretty good and decent. The average package is around 6-7 lakhs and the highest up till now has been 1Cr (off campus). The CS and IT branches as well as the technology branches like paint and plastic have high rates of placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees is about 1.2 lakh and after including some other expenses of id cards and all, it goes up to be 1.35 lakh annually. The mess+hostel fees is around 60 thousand. Students can avail the benefits of various scholarships including the UP scholarship as well as other private scholarships like the siemens scholarship, reliance scholarship, etc.
Campus Life
The campus life is decent but not as good as IITs and some other premier institutions. The campus is full of greenery. Various fests are organized like Aagaz (sports fest), Technika ( technical fest), Adhyaay, all these are organized annually and provide a lively and enjoyable atmosphere to thw students. The library has a wide range of books and is generally open till 7 in the evening. There are many sub councils and clubs for the students to explore their interests like the autorobotics club, aeroclub, literary sub council, the print and social media sub council, etc.
Admission
Admission is based on the JEE Mains rank. HBTU conducts its own counselling in online mode which is separate from Josaa. Cutoff for the CS branch starts from around 25000 rank. There are reservations for EWS, OBC, SC, ST and girls as well and also for students from states other than UP
