Course Curriculum Overview

Agriculture is back bone of Indian economy that is why agri grads get well paid jobs in various fields related to that sector. There are well maintained fields for practical work along with organic farm and student research farm. There is MPAS machine in soil sci lab for micro nutrient analysis. There are 6 elective stream for masters-Agronomy, soil sci, Fruit sci, veg sci, entomology, Agri economics

Generally private companies visit our college ,some private banks visit too. In agri department there was no placement drives in past.

Khalsa college is well known for cultural activities. There are many cultural fest in a year. They are well organised.

50,000 fee for 1st sem 20,000 for 2nd sem for masters Hostel charges are extra

There are many types scholarships for talented students. College teachers are well cooperative sometimes they pay fees of needy students. Sportsperson get free education there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are free for sports persons or persons participating in cultural activities. 3 bed -2 bed or even single separate rooms are available in hostel. Charges are ranging from 35k-40 k. Food is very good in the hostel mess.just for 2000 rs per month.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

As i had completed my bachelor degree in 2022 i got an admission in to this course firstly i was not interested in that but with the help of my teacher I performed well there. There is lot of scope of this course in all the fields . The only drawback is that they have to arrange some field visits so that we can listen to farmers problems

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement after 3rd semester. But the companies are not upto the mark. The salary and job roles are not upto the mark. Many students choose to study further for PhD due to this reason.

The Facts of LPU

Placement Experience:

As I'm doing Masters it's a 2 year course which has 4 semester. I can attend placement drives from second semester..Many private companies like INFOLLION, FITLO, UN ACADEMY and ICAR recruits eligible students from interview.The highest package is 10 lakhs. In Agriculture department about 30% of students get placed in different companies. After achieving the degree I would like to do job in Agriculture field and after making some saving I will do PhD.
