I highly respect my college for everything it’s been doing for me and the batch. I believe that with negligible fees this college provides us with the tremendous platform to grow coated with the amazing quality of education and placements anywhere. Also, this college provides us the other facilities like library, medical facility (pharmacy) with the ambulance services, police station (safety), different courts to play around the campus.

I chose this college due to my ambition to pursue MBA. This course is also an extension to what I’ve been studying in the graduation. Also, my keen interest in business analytics led me to this prestigious college. I believe that Business analytics makes intensive use of Statistics analysis, as well as informative and predictive modeling, and fact-based management to drive the higher cognitive process. It's thus closely associated with management. Analytics is also used as a most important tool in marketing research. Also, Department of business economics also provides the best ROI in terms of placements and internships as well.

Our curriculum is designed in such a way that it always motivates students to surpass their limits to nurture them as professionals. The course also provides us dual specialization which we can the between analytics, finance and marketing. Faculty teaching methods are way too interesting. They not only teach us course knowledge but the industrial experience as well, by providing us with various case studies, examples by videos and practical experiences. Here, at DBE we are not only studying Business Administration subjects but we also get a chance to stand out by learning analytics languages like Python, R and SQL. Faculty also teaches us software tools like Stata which helps us to analyze, manage and produce graphical visualization of data, a basic requirement for managers in today’s digitalized era. Apart from this, our college’s Corporate Communication Cell Committee conduct various seminars on the topics like Effectiveness of Artificial Learning and Machine learning in large scale projects, Democratizing Across horizontal and verticals, Present and future of Artificial intelligence, Consumer behavior and Analytics, Intelligent solutions for a smart world, Data driven recruitment process: Facilitating the implementation and harnessing its potential etc which helped us to gain repository of knowledge on corporate world. No matter from which background you are, be it commerce or science anyone can learn and work with Analytics to catch up with the fast-moving industry.

The College organizes weekly seminars, case study competitions to educate students about industrial experience. The college has their own magazine “The Business Economist” which gives a thorough insight into the college. Also, a personal blog is there which is maintained by Public Relations Committee. The blog enables students to share their thoughts about campus life with each other and reach out to the outside world as well.

Fees structure is based on annual system. It is highly feasible. The annual fees of our college is Rs.12376/- (with additional Rs.50 for non DUstudents) payable at the time of admission by cash or Demand draft. Since it is part of Delhi University, it does provide scholarship opportunities to studens.

People usually do not go for loans as the college fee is nominal that is only Rs.12376. But college does approve loans up to Rs.150000 depends on the student needs. One can apply the loan from SBI which is available in the campus by fulfilling all the desired requirements.

Campus life is pretty amazing in here. But one needs to maintain work, life, balance in order to enjoy each and every aspect of campus life. Like every other DU college, DBE follows the trail of diversity and gender ratio which evenly maintained. The campus’ lush green beauty can soothe and amaze anyone at the same time. You know I regularly see peacock moving around the campus which actually elevate positive vibes and makes me smile every time. Our extremely disciplined and obedient staff actually manages to maintain the campus’ lawns and garden areas as well. Exousia our sports club organizes and participated in various cricket matches throughout the year. In the year 2017, Exousia bagged 1st place in Futsal at IIFT Adrenaline – Rush to Glory. And we enjoy our spare time by playing badminton and volleyball in the assigned courts. It’s been two months now and I witnessed, played 2-3 amazing cricket, footballs matches. Both the senior and junior batches of department take part in extracurricular activities with zeal. The various committees and clubs in the college also organize their annual events as a part of extracurricular activities. The college also organizes weekly seminars to give us a touch of industrial experience. I usually spare my time in the library because it has facilities like newspaper room, 3 floors each with study section, washroom facility, can be here from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Novels, research journals and of course fully Air Conditioned rooms. Students from other B schools also take part in various competitions organized by our Department. Finance club (Bluechips) organize events like moolyankan for finance enthusiast. The Marketing club (Markibiz) organized ad Wars to inculcate the creativity and innovation in students. Datamatics (Analytics club) also organized an event on Dare to compete platform as case study competition based on Analytical data.The learning objective of this case was to analyze the data and report on supply chain management.

The hostel provides a lot of facilities including public to private facilities to both males and females. The dorms and washrooms are maintained and clean here. They also provide laundry service, medical services and safety. The quality of food is healthy and they serve it 4 times a day in a specific time lot. The hostel facilities along with the fees are highly cost effective and convenient as well.

Our College is 43 years old now, and to maintain the connection we organize annual alumni sports meet, Silver Jublee meets, annual luncheons and help the Alumni to stay updated about college activities. Alumni Relation Cell organizes various alumni activities like alumni meet, reminiscence, chapter meets in Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and Imprints to Also our Alumnus is highly cooperative and accessible. They also guide us through their areas of expertise and experience. Our influential alumni like Mr. Padmabhanam -Vice President at Reliance Industries Ltd., Mr. Arif- Executive president at ITC Ltd. , Ms. sharma- Director General manager at FICCI, Ms. Jain- Senior Partner at Deloitte, Ms. Dhir- Senior Director at PolicyBazaar.com, Mr. Saxena- Director at EY etc. consistently motivates us to do well in the future.

There are 7 subjects in each semester. Each subject consists of 100 marks which further divided into internal (30%) and external (70%). Internals are totally in the hands of teaching faculty that how they want to allocate marks. The internals comprises various case study, individual and group presentations, surprise tests, attendance, class tests, class assignments and behavior.

Getting admission to this prestigious course was not an easy task. One needs to work it out with immense dedication and strong perseverance. Following are the steps which I followed to secure a seat in MBA in Business Economics: CAT- The first step is to appear in CAT(Common Aptitude Test) which is an online based computer test conducted by IIMs. It has three sections Verbal Ability(VA), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude(QA). Our department shortlists students on the basis of the combined test score of these three sections. Also a special weightage given to the students from B.A (hons.) in economics and business economics, B.Com (hons.) BBE, BBS/BMS, BFIA and (FIA). Cut off for last year is 93%. The screening for the selection procedure starts from CAT score. GD/PI- Next, the shortlisted students are being called for GD/PI rounds. Both the rounds conducted on the same day. The information for the same is being intimated to the shortlisted students via email. Also, students can update themselves through the website. Final selection includes the scoring of CAT test score, GD/PI and marks scored in the 10th and 12th examination.

Here, Professors are foreign graduate and PHD degree holders along with years of experience. Our teaching faculty is working extremely hard towards our future which motivates students to surpass their limits to nurture them as professionals. The faculty expects us to be disciplined and punctual. They never leave a chance to teach us something valuable with respect to subjects, case studies or future aspects in our fields. Apart from guidance they are very approachable. They also provide us a chance to work with them on research papers which is definitely an asset to our learning objective. Be it case studies, college assignment, attendance, presentations and surprise tests they always assess the improvements and firmly discusses with us for the same. On the other hand our faculty from office is also very cooperative and hardworking. Apart from this their information is quite handy when we get into some kind of trouble like a correction in examination form, any refund, any compensation, information related to college etc. Overall one can find the professionalism in the air while entering to our department.
