Honesty of Heaven

I am very much interested in the field of Data science because it has the great demand in present and future,So I chose Bachelor in Statistics. My dream was to become a Data scientist and also want to pursue my higher studies in abroad. Many student's reason to moving abroad for new atmosphere, better education which is little lack in our country. This need to be improved in our country. But my college have provided me a lot of learning,life experiences and my staff who are friendly and teaching the classes with real example, encouraging us to lead in a successful way. There will be 2 semesters ( odd and even) ,each semester has 2 internals.

From fourth semester students become eligible for campus Placements.Many companies like Deloitte,Zoho, HDFC Bank, Goldman Sachs etc..Our senior get place in Zoho company in Chennai.The highest package is 12 lakhs per annum and minimum is 3.5 lakh per annum.There will 80 percentage of students get placed and remaining students are adapt for higher studies.Our college also providing extra coaching for placement, competitive exams through a organisation named FACE prep .My plan after degree is if I have selected in placements ,I will go for it otherwise I will do my masters in data science.

The tuition in our college for aided programs is approximately around 10000 which also includes examination fees , service fees, laboratory fees. There are many scholarships are available in our college like National Scholarship portal. I also received a NSP scholarship which is total amount 12000 per year for meritorious students above 80 percentage in board exams. I have actively participated in many events, cultural and done volunteer work in our culturals.And I took a responsibility of secretary of department of Statistics which paved new path to my life where I learnt more things and socially interact with many people.

PSG College of arts and science is well known for its cultural and functions > Manavar mandram - August > Onam Celebration - September > Pongal celebration - January > Wizard and Heartbeat - February > Cascall and Euphoria - March The range and accessibility of books and journals are huge in our college library and also digital library is also there in our college. There are a lot of sports like basketball, volleyball, football.Both boys and girls players give their 100 percentage in games and they maintain their academics also. The club like anti- drug club,eco club, golden army which provides awareness , how to help in accident by first aid etc ..

I am staying in hostel inside the campus which really great. The infrastructure of our hostel is awesome,I love this place very much because this is the place where strangers turned into friends.Our hostel has three , four, five bed sharing rooms with attached bathroom. I personally say that our hostel menu much more better than other college hostel menu because my school friends who are staying in other cities are usually complain about their hostel food. My hostel provides non veg weekly thrice , every day there will be two varieties of lunch, every Tuesday night there will be a parotta.They also provide snacks like samosa,puffs, cake, ice cream, groundnuts.The registration process based on online method, hostel availability based first come people because it will get filled quickly and there will be no vaccancy. The affordablility is reasonable.

The admission in PSG College of arts and science is easy compared to earlier days. Because the admission is fully based on online method and there are many official Instagram pages who are guiding the freshers by announcement of openings , how to fill the application form , Date of certificate verification. According to me , Social media platform helped me a lot during my admission process. Our college have aided and self financed programmes, the admission process will be conducted separately for the both of the programmes which is the main reason to make admission process much easier one.One demerit about all over tamilnadu's college admission is to give equal seats to the state board and CBSE with respective to their marks.
