Location is very beautiful. It is away from the chaos of the city.
Exposure to students from all over India.
Faculties of my department are very helpful

Dislikes

Transportation to reach campus is somewhat less developed.
The Canteen area inside campus is less developed.
The club structure of the campus needs to be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum I took admission was Integrated Bsc Hons. MSc Physics because of my interest in Physics. The courses which were offered were very good and in compliance with NEP. Courses are very dynamic in physics and range from electronics to mechanics , electrodynamics.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for Integrated courses is Rs. 47,000 admission fee Rs. 10,000 per semester Rs. 17000 annual fee Rs. 20,000 annual hostel fee Rs. 25,000 annual mess fee Meritorius scholarship is awarded to top 10% students of each batch

Campus Life

There are various clubs in the campus like music, astronomy,dance, etc.The infra structure of the college is very good and it is located at a very beautiful location. Annual cultural and Literary fest RESURGENCE is organised along with others like TITIKSHA

Admission

The basic eligibility for Bsc physics is PCM or PCB in 12th class. For admission Cuet exam is mandatory. In one semester there are three exams. Two minors and one major. Minors are of 20 marks and majors are of 50 marks. Other 10 marks are of assignment.

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Placement Experience:

Placements aren't that good and for Zoology it's like the research roles in labs and under research professors so mostly a salary of 30-50k is what students of Zooly gets at our college and even DU stidnets get the same.

GOVT M.A.M COLLEGE,JAMMU : A Success path to life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students. I don't get any rejection from any other colleges....Read More
