Disastrous

This college used to be good at a time, now it is a waste. 30kms away from the city, you might face existencial crisis residing in this college. This college only gives the oppodtunity to meet some of the best persons in your life who you can best friend, that's all to this college.

I got a decent rank in COMED-K, during 2014 counselling, this college had a good name so i opted for this college. The weather and exposure of the IT companies also helped me take this decision. In 2013 2014 sesssion, the placements was very very good.

Course curriculum is very monotonous. There is yearly opportunity at college fest rest of the year its all studies. There is nothing as such which attracts the students to attend the college. Sometimes even saturday happens to be college days. No picnic or no opportunity is presented by the college to interact with each other.

No, college provides nothing of sort. If anyone is interested in such sort of activities its completely and solely upon the student to do on his/her own. College further wouldn't let you go if it overlaps during college classes or timing.

Placements and job opportunities is also average. As it is the CS/IS dept students who get to sit in all of the companies and they are the ones who get preference as the most of the companies coming to the college are IT. So, the students of depts other than CS/IS are solely dependent of mass recruiters like Accenture,Wipro,etc.

Kalanjali is the only inter college fest that happens every year. Rest all the departmental fest donot happen every year. It just depends of the dept whether they want it or not, thats it. Sometimes, few seminars or workshops do take place which most of the times the dept doesn't see it as important so doesn't let go the students.

The fee structure clearly shows outsiders are not welcome, I would like to this opportunity to make this very clear. Let the state the facts to prove it to you. As far as admission is concerned colleges takes input through COMED-K, KCET and management. KCET students are students who have the karnataka domicile, they pay a meagre 40,000 whereas a COMED-K or a Management Student pays a whopping 1,50,000 approx its not over yet as students from different states doeent have a place to stay so they have to opt for hostels which costs around 80,000.

Yes, but you must be from SC/ST caste then there is some sort scholarship available which providee you 38,000 scholarship.

Campus life is all how choose yours friends. Gender ratio is very very bad. In our class of 65, we had 4 girls. Extracurricular does happen often so lets say no. Annual sports day happens once a year and ones who are good in specific sports can participate in various sports meet happening in bangalore. In 4yeara of my engineering life, i have never seen robotics happening in my college. Debate and all these happens in kalanjali once a year.

Hostel facilities are okay, but the food is UNEATABLE. I had heard the hostel foods used to be bad here, they took it another level which i have named UNEATABLE. If, you are north indian, this food is not for buddy. Almost every student who lives in hostel hailing from north indian background has to eat from outside restaurants twice a day.

There neither any connection between alumni or seniors. Everybody is busy with their life. If you want any help it depends on your friend circle or the professional network you created during your years of your college. College won't help you in any way

College follows VTU (Visvesraya Technical University), which changed its syllabus in 3years of the years i studied( there is 2014, 2015 and 2017 batch who have different syllabus. 2014 batch had 8 module in each subject divided into 2parts, in which you would have to answer any 5, minimum of 2 from any part. Question paper had 100marks. Each module comprising of 20marks each. Rest of the batches had different so i dont know about them.

As in the options, i couldnot get COMED-K as an option so i opted for JEE Main, as i would have got this college through JEE Main as well. The admission process during my time compromised of two counselling rounds namely first round and second round. Every body is alloted colleges according to their ranks in the first round. Then, many optout of their colleges as they get better choices, so those seats are given in preference to rank.

Faculty of our college, I would say is average. As i had heard from my seniors, few years all the good faculties of elctrical dept had left for better prospects which left the dept on its knees and the remaining few were unable to take all the classe so a remedial the college roped in students who did Masters from our college directly as Associate Professors.
