Internships Opportunities
College gives you opportunitied to interview for hotesl where you would like to go for internship and if selected are sent the hotel accordingly. The 3semester is entirely the Industrial training and your performance in the Interneship that how you are scored.IHM Mumbai offers diverse internship opportunities with renowned companies in the hospitality industry. Some of the companies include: 1. Taj Hotels: Roles offered may include front office intern, F&B intern, or kitchen intern. Projects could involve guest satisfaction surveys, menu development, or operational efficiency studies. Outcomes often include improved guest experience metrics and enhanced operational processes. 2. Marriott International: Internship roles can range from event management intern to housekeeping intern. Projects may focus on sustainability initiatives, customer relationship management, or revenue optimization strategies. Outcomes often include increased guest loyalty and cost-saving measures.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester the final year of the course the students become eligible for placement, Interviews are conducted and companies employ students as per their liking and discipline. From Taj to Jw Marriott are the places where students are placed
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first semester there's some extra fee for security deposit and something. Then for the next semester its around 60k . Check on their website once. There's no scholarship available sadly. They provide IT placement.
Campus Life
The campus is not big but it's good, there's space for parking and playing sports and host events and assembly. Events are really happening here, you can participate to gain experience and exposure and cause its fun
Admission
The process was easy and smooth, you just need to get a good rank in NCHM Jee , you can find the application on the gov website NTA. Cut off is 800 or something for general category. The exam was in the morning, luckily I got a centre in Mumbai itself.
