Course Curriculum Overview

Based on CBME curriculum. Competency Based medical education.The teaching method can be improved by making the class more interactive.University exams occur once in a year.There will be lot of class tests in every colleges.

Class Size: 114Course Fees: INR 22000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees approximately 22000 annually.Hostel fees approximately 10000 rs yearly.There are many scholarships available like e grants and central government scholarships.The stipend for house surgeon is approximately 25k.

Campus Life

The campus of Government medical College Manjeri is very small compared to other medical colleges.There are many programmes in college like freshers day, graduation etc.There is a football ground, volleyball court, badminton court,etc

Hostel Facilities

The rooms have adequate space.There are two fans and two light tubes in every room.Hostel menu is superb.Non veg foods are available in almost 5 days in a week.The hostel is with in the campus .It is just 8 minutes to walk to college.

Hostel Fee: INR 10400 per year

Admission

Admission process was through kerala entrance commissioner's portal.Also the certificates uploaded are verified in college in offline mode. Admission process is based on NEET UG score. GMC MANJERI is the 6 th Government medical college in kerala.Eligibility of the course is plus two. Application for admission is through Keam portal. NEET UG occurs once in a year.It is one of the most difficult exam in India.Almost 18 lakhs students are competing in NEET UG every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Medico life in a college

Mbbs is a 4.5 year academic course and 1 year mandatory internship is there . So in total it is 5.5 year course. Being a first year student three subjects are there anatomy biochemistry and physiology. Regular timetables of each week are posted by departments which are essentially followed

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

Great for academics

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
