Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum at my college is commendably relevant and comprehensive, with a strong emphasis on industry-oriented projects and internships that greatly influenced my decision to pursue this course. It effectively prepares students for real-world applications and further academic pursuits by fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills through practical learning experiences like workshops and guest lectures. However, to further enhance the curriculum, I suggest introducing more elective courses or specialization tracks, incorporating hands-on activities, and diversifying assessment methods beyond traditional exams to provide a more holistic evaluation of student progress. Overall, while the curriculum is robust, continuous improvements can ensure its alignment with evolving industry needs and student interests.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities at my college encompass a wide range of companies spanning tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, offering roles in software development, data analysis, and digital marketing, among others. These internships involve diverse projects such as market research, project management, coding, and content creation, leading to tangible outcomes like reports, presentations, and prototypes. Stipends for internships vary based on factors like the company's policies and the role's complexity, providing students with valuable real-world experience, skill development, and networking opportunities crucial for their career advancement.

Placement Experience

4.5

I don't have specific information about placements at my college, but I can provide a general overview of typical scenarios. Generally, students become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester onwards, after they have acquired relevant skills and knowledge. Companies from various sectors visit campuses, offering roles in areas like IT, finance, marketing, and more. The number of offers made and the profiles offered vary each year, with some companies offering higher packages than others. The highest package can range significantly, often depending on the company and the role, while the average package reflects the overall market trends. The percentage of students getting placed also varies but is usually a good indicator of the college's placement success. In case campus placements are not offered, students focus on enhancing their employability through internships, skill development programs, or higher studies. My plans after completing the degree would includ

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at my college does not have a tuition fee increase policy, ensuring consistency for students. The complete cost of education includes tuition, service fees, and other compulsory charges, amounting to INR 2,07,000 per year. While there are few scholarships available, the exact amounts are unspecified. However, for top-performing students, merit-based awards ranging from INR 2000 to 3000 are granted. Additionally, campus employment opportunities exist, though specifics regarding job roles, responsibilities, and stipends vary based on individual placements. Overall, while there are avenues for financial assistance through scholarships and campus employment, more transparency regarding scholarship amounts and job details would benefit students seeking support for their education.

Campus Life

4

My campus life experience has been vibrant, with engaging social interactions, active club participation, and excellent infrastructure. Key annual festivals include "annual day" in February and "ekatra" in September, blending cultural and technical showcases. The library offers extensive book and journal collections, supporting academic pursuits, while modern classrooms with interactive technology enhance learning. A diverse array of sports and extracurricular activities, from mainstream sports to specialized clubs, promotes holistic development and a balanced academic-social life. Student-run platforms like "GDSC" foster community and collaboration, enriching the overall campus experience with a strong sense of belonging and involvement.

Hostel Facilities

4

I'm not living in a hostel or rented accommodation at the moment, but I can provide a general overview based on common experiences. Hostel facilities typically offer basic amenities in rooms such as beds, study tables, chairs, wardrobes, and shared bathrooms. The meal quality and menu in hostels can vary widely, but they often provide a balanced diet with options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The registration process for hostels usually involves submitting required documents, filling out forms, and paying a security deposit along with monthly fees, making it relatively affordable for students. Regarding rented accommodation or PGs (Paying Guests), facilities vary based on the locality but commonly include furnished rooms, shared/common areas, Wi-Fi, and sometimes meals. Affordability and quality can differ based on location and amenities offered, so it's important to research and compare options before finalizing accommodation.

Admission

At my college, the annual fee for the course is INR 2,07,000. The admission process for Category B and C students commences after the EMCET exam. Under Category C, students are required to pay a donation in addition to the annual fee. However, for Category B students, the annual fee remains the same but without any additional donation. This distinction between the categories can influence prospective students' decisions. Additionally, the college offers various scholarships and financial aid programs, making education accessible to students from diverse economic backgrounds. The faculty members are experienced and supportive, contributing significantly to the overall learning experience. The campus infrastructure is well-maintained, providing a conducive environment for academic and extracurricular activities. Overall, my experience at this college has been positive, with a focus on holistic development and academic excellence.

Interview Experience

4

During the admission process at my college, there are no written tests conducted. Instead, the selection criteria include considering the EMCET rank along with the applicant's category classification. This approach ensures a fair and transparent admission process, where students are evaluated based on their performance in a standardized entrance examination like EMCET and their category status. It allows for a more inclusive admission process, taking into account the diverse backgrounds and capabilities of applicants while maintaining a competitive yet accessible pathway for aspiring students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
