Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is comprehensive and relevant to the current industry standards. The faculty staff is good and they teach very well with examples of real-world applications. This influenced my decision to choose this course as it prepares me well for real-world applications. The course is divided into eight semesters, with each semester lasting around five months. Examinations are conducted very strictly at the end of each semester. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate, and with regular study, one can easily pass. However, I feel there are areas for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The curriculum could be updated more frequently to keep pace with the rapidly evolving tech industry. Also, more emphasis could be placed on practical assignments and projects that mirror real-world scenarios.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for the B.Tech course is INR 45,500. This is the total first-year fee and includes the tuition and special fees of the B.Tech course. The total expenditure of the entire four-year duration is around INR 3.73 Lakhs. The fee can be paid in instalments of INR 93,230 per annum as a tuition fee. The university has not officially disclosed its tuition fee increase policy. However, it’s common for universities to review their tuition fees annually, so there may be a slight increase each year. The university offers scholarships and financial aid to eligible students. The government of Andhra Pradesh provides scholarships for the students for four years and also provides hostel fee. The university also offers the Maulana Azad National Fellowship for minority students, Post Doctoral Fellowship to SC/ST candidates, Post Graduate Scholarships for professional courses for SC/ST candidates, Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for the single girl child, Post Graduate Merit Schol
Campus Life
The campus life here is vibrant and engaging. The university encourages the celebration of diverse Indian cultures through various events, festivals, and cultural programs. However, the specific names of the annual and technical festivals and the months they are typically held are not readily available from the sources I found. The library facilities are good with a wide range of books and journals available. The university provides access to online full-text journals, print + online journals, print-only journals, competitive books, daily newspapers, and e-books. The classrooms are well-equipped with digital boards and CCTV cameras for enhanced learning. However, some students have reported that there is no network signal in the college and there are no faculty who know the latest technology. The university conducts special extracurricular activities for students. They also encourage students to participate in sports. However, the specific sports and extracurricular activities offer
Hostel Facilities
I’m currently residing in the university hostel. The hostel facilities are quite good1. We live 4 members in our room. The rooms are comfortable and the environment is peaceful with beautiful greenery around. However, the hostel is not very marvelous but it is okay to live in. We need to adjust there. As for the meal quality and menu, the food is also good. However, the university offers limited Hostel accommodation on the university campus, on a “first come first served basis”1. Such students have to make their own arrangements for food. The students should pay INR 833-/ per month for it. The registration process for the hostel is straightforward. At present, the university offers limited Hostel accommodation on the university campus, on a “first come first served basis”, at the rate of Rs. 10000/- per person, per year. The affordability of the hostel is quite reasonable considering the facilities provided. The university is located in the small city of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The
Admission
I’m currently pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Engineering at Acharya Nagarjuna University. The faculty staff is good and they teach very well with examples of real-world applications. The time duration for each semester is around 5 months and examinations are conducted very strictly. The campus environment is beautiful and they conduct special extracurricular activities for students. However, the washrooms are not clean and neat. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department has the best faculty compared to other departments. The first company for placements is Alpha Tech Solutions for CSE students. The internship is for one month, and the practicality is very good. However, I feel that sports are somewhat neglected here. If you’re interested in any sport, you’ll need to do all the work and take permission from the department to participate in any event.
