About HBTU Kanpur

I enjoyed my college life at fullest .Those are the best moments of my life.

HBTU is best colleges in UP apart from IIT Kanpur and IIT BHU.It is equivalent to MNIT Allahabad .The Alma Mater of HBTU is very rich and diverse . Campus is good .The beauty of HBTU is that it has 15 branches of Engineering. Placement is above average .

Course curriculum is simple and it is being updated according to market demand and innovation as well as AICTE guidelines . For notes you have to follow each and every lecture of professors as well as we have central Library where you can find Lakhs of books.

Placement is very good if you got one . Brand name of HBTU is there in industries as well as PSU cause of our Alma Mater. Almost 80% placement is there . Even if didn't get any and you are serious college will help you to find one . Now a days Harcourtians are after entrepreneurship.

Oddessey anual cultural festival . Followed by Kavi Sammelan every year . Apart from different clubs are there which are having their own anual fest There are one technical fest conducted by school of Engineering Apart from that alumni meet and sports meet also happens.

Fees structure is feasible but food bills is little expensive . You can do Engineering at a cost of 1.25 lakh per year if you're not having girlfriend.It may increase if you have one . Kanpur city is good and not so costly . You can also earn stippend during the course.

Up government scholarship is there which reimburses the paid fees of the college every year if you are eligible. You can get education loan easily.

Campus life is good but you have to see compromise on gender Ratio like all government engineering College . Extracurricular activities are in bunch .labs are at par , clubs are there to groom you they will give you every opportunity to grow and groom.

Hostel facility I will give 3*/5* because it is not at satisfactory level.New hostels are good. Mess is same like hostel facility but they governed by students body .so you will get food of your choice . Otherwise you can also stay in PG nearby the campus.

Alumni Network and senior students are very very helpful and they will help Harcourtians to any extent.

Exam sturcture is like 2 mid term along with End sem final examination . 2mid term of each subject adds 30marks contribution in final result and 10marks for attendance and 10marks for assignment and all .there are two semesters in a year . Marking is little bit tough but transpperancy is best.

I appear in UPSEE 2014 and got a rank under 2000 then attended counseling of UPSEE . But now the procedure is changed ,You have appear for JEE Main which is happening twice in a year and after getting good rank you can register yourself for the separate counseling for HBTU Kanpur and for getting the benefits of home state you have to submit the domicile certificate of up resident to claim that benefits. Apart from that you can also get admission through NE quota J&K quota and NRI quota.

Faculty of college is easy to access and they are very co operative in nature infact they are eager to help you if they found you serious . Specifically Prof.Alak Kumar Singh HOD of my Department is very Good .He is ready to help students in any need.
