Life at SKCR

Of course there is nothing bad about this college to share. It is one of the most standard college in Tamil Nadu and I would even say in INDIA. PROUD TO BE AN SKCTian

I heard about this college when I was surfing in the internet after completing my 12th grade and was not able to select a college for my further education as all the colleges that I looked up in the internet or heard from my friends and family members were either not in a great standard or the hostel facilities were not good. But when I came to know about this college I knew this was the one. And before joining the college I went for a visit to know about their hostel facilities. You see most of the colleges won't allow you to visit their hostel if you are not that college student,But here the story is different they walked us through their hostel rooms and mess hall and I fell in love with the college infrastructure and its climate.

This college is upto date with its curriculum they teach what's new. What I mean by that is most of the engineering colleges in India have an outdated syllabus. Thus the students getting out of those colleges are not upto date with their techno knowledge and failed to get placed. But the story is different with SKCT here the syllabus reviesed very often to provide a quality and latest education

There are many companies coming to SKCT link Amazon , ZOHO, WIPRO ,ACCENTURE ETC and they provide internship to the students. There were over 100 companies visited our college for campus and around 900 students got placed.

As I already mentioned above there were around 100 product core and other companies visited our college last year and around 900 students were placed in those companies during the campus drive. Among that 900 students 485 placed in core and other companies, 248 placed in Accenture, 86 placed in Infosys, 52 placed in Wipro

When you see those above discussions you would have thought this college would be a nerdy one. But it ain't it too have many technical and cultural programs to cheer the students skills and talents and showcase them to the audience. We are given the freedom to attend any cultural and technical events organised by other colleges. We have AVANTA - Science and Expo fair, ENgineers day Celebration for project submiossions, TED-X yes we have that too, you can search it in web TED-x SKCT. those were a glimpse of technical events. On cultural side, were have our COLLGE DAY for culturals, AVANTA cultural MEETS and so on.

The fee structure is affordable to many people. I'm from a middle class family with not much background, I'm okay with this fee structure and I can afford it too. With not much changes this college has same fee structure like most of the college in India but only with high standards than others

We also have a scholarship offered by our college to students below middle class or if their parents annual income is lesser that a 75000. You can directly contact the office to get that scholarship and it will be issued monthly and directly to your bank accounts

Apart from the hostel we also have a great infrastructure and a very pleasent climate. Our college also give a great importance to sports as they give to the academics, They have a ground and an indoor stadium for sports. Our college has around 140 laboratories and most of them are opened for students research till 8.00 pm in Night

I would give a 10 out of 10 score to hostel and mess food. It is tasty and confy to be in hostel. Our college also has jio fiber facility and we are connected 24*7 to the internet for free. And the hostel maintenance is at a standard here, if any discomforts arise the management will look directly and ASAP into that matter and solve it with pleasure.

Yes, They are really really helpful to us. I mean there is no ragging None at all. And we have a closed network with our seniors. If you need any help not only on academics in the cultural side too they would be there to help you. And in placements they would be there to share their knowledge. our Management also encourage us to interact with our seniors as maximum as possible

As this college is an autonomous college it doesn't follow Anna University exam structure Here we have 2 Internals, 1 Model, Semester practical, and a Semester exam for each Semester. And marks are evaluated for 10 points. The paper correction is strict though and that gives us a scale of our knowledge and what we need to learn more

It's an usual process if you live here in Tamil Nadu. You just have to have a cut off of 185 and above to get your desired course in this college. After you get your 12th marksheet you have to apply for the counselling and once you were called for counselling you just have to select the SKCT if available.

The faculties are extremely skilled and more friendly with us. We don't see them as a teacher they are more like a family to us. They help you not only with your studies but also when you are facing issues other than studies. They are there to ensure that you are ready to face the world when you leave college and get into the real world
