Likes

The ambiance here is too good for our mental health.
The faculties here are friendly enough to understand our problem.
The students here are competitve, which make us think to improve each day.

Dislikes

The temperature here is too high. Not a better place for people from cold places of different countries.
Hostel facilities are too poor and not bothering to impose.
Will not be able to use motorcycle inside the campus except faculties and Phd (day scholar).

Course Curriculum Overview

I thought the course would be upto date and we could learn new technologies and development in the recent growing field but the curriculum and syllabus are not updated. So the course is a bit boring and possibly could change the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

Uber - 1.77 LPM ITC - 2.2 LPM Capital One - 1 LPM PayPal - 1 LPM + Cash sign on bonus Goldman Sachs - 1.5 LPM Procter and Gamble - 2.2 LPM Oracle - 1 LPM And there are many more companies which came for internships process.

Placement Experience

The placements here are very much good. The companies coming in are mostly MNCs and they take atlest 2 to 8 students form each branch if they are willing to take from the branch. The packages are also quite good ranging from 5 LPA to 35 LPA in mechanical engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

Financially, the administration helps a lot by offering fee waiver for those with low income, offering scholarships, fee structure difference for reserved quota and many. The companies sitting for placement are quite a lot and the role they offer are quite good.

Campus Life

The clubs that are available here are very much advanced in technology. But the infrastructure available in lab are still in development compared to IITs. They are many festival where we invite celebrities to come up and give their speech. The books in libraries are quite good and enough.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel are not the best, we face water scarcity, most of the time wifi issue, no washing machine, should not use high current consuming electrical products. The meal they give are also not upto taste, they some cause food poisoning, vomiting.

Hostel Fee: INR 41000 per year

Admission

Wrote JEE Mains and scored around 98 percentile to secure this seat in NIT Trichy. Without OBC-NCL quota I won't be able to get this seat in this college. The exam was conducted 4 times a year and I scored the maximum in my first attempt and then started preparing for JEE Advanced, but I was unable to make in to IIT.

Students through councling receives great offers in fees structure and for toppers having 190 +cutoffs get more offers like 50000 off over all fees will be 6-7lakhs for 4 years ,and moreover the fees was increasing year by year for the demand of this course and for management students the the donation for the courses is varies for example for cse course the donation will be 4lakhs and fees will be 3.8lakhs for other courses the fes structure will be varied the best part of this college is the food on a week only Friday we will have veg and for all other days we will have nonbeg

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

NIT Trichy In A Nutshell

I personally am from Maharashtra so for VNIT Nagpur I Would Have Got ECE(HS) But Is Prefered this college for its national importance and name....i Even was getting top maharashtra colleges from MHTCET.....I wasnt Able To Clear The Criteria In JEE Advanced to Get Into IITs And Hence Couldnt Go There....The 2nd paper went terribly wrong for me but now i am happy....We have the match the required criteria in jee mains to get this clg....also 75% in boards is inportant for Gen and OBC and For SC ST it is 65%....Then Go Through a very very long admission process named JOSAA then CSAB(if you want to upgrade your seat) Then Pay The Fees And Report Physically...Read More
