- Our campus is located very near to airport.
- There is a lot of greenry in our college as it is located near a national reserve
- There is availability of general store, stationary, fruit stall and alot of food court so we can get most of our stuff in campus itself.
Dislikes
- College is located far from city and railway station so it creates problem sometimes
- Due to abundance of greenery during monsoon season alot of snakes could be seen on campus which could be dangerous
- Our college infrastructure could not be said to be best as most of our college area is undeveloped
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum covers a wide range of fundamental concepts in computer science. One aspect of the curriculum that influenced my descision to choose this course is its emphasis on practical learning. Through lab session, projects and assignments, I have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. I also appreciate the opportunities provided for interdisciplinary learning like other engineering fields and human science. The frequency of exams is perfect and the work load is also very less for first year but 3rd year becomes very hectic according to our seniors
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete cost of my course as a OBC student is 8,55,500 INR this also includes mess fees for entire duration of 4 years. Student can apply for alot of scholarships base on caste and merit or state through our institute. Most common scholarship is National merit cum means scholarship which can help avoid tuition fees for top 10% student of each batch and gives scholarship of 12k INR per year for a duration of 4 years
Campus Life
The yearly cultural event is called TARANG and is usually held in month of october-november. And technical events include robo-rush held in month of january or february and alot of sports event and other club events. The extracurricular activities in our institute includes a lot of sports including indoor and outdoor and also gym related activites and our sports clubs have been bringing alot of fame for our institute by wining inter-iiit events.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are I guess could be said okay. It includes a bed and a table(with box). But some of the rooms are not good including mine as my room walls are always damp. As for mess quality they are changed every year but the food provided in not very good as most of mess but sometimes they even make food more unbearable than usual moreover the utensils are never cleaned properly.
Admission
To get admission in IIITDM Jabalpur as a CSE student we need to have either cleared JEE Mains or DASA with appropriate rank. When we enter our college our senior mostly senate members helped us through all the admission procedure related to form filling. Our admission process took place in auditorium. Reservation benefits includes reduced fee and admission in better courses with lower rank. But there isn't any reservation in daily classes or exams. We have to give 2 Quizzes and mid semester exam and end-semester exam in one entire exam and all of them are included in grading.
