Remarks

I have mostly good things to say about my college life. Yes, a few faculty members could have been better but most of them are really nice and helping.

Entrance Preview

This is the best-known college when it comes to education. The students are intellectual and intelligent. Staff is helpful. I found great other opportunities here other than studies. The ambiance and college environment are very good for students to grow and feel safe.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

We have a variety of subject combination in the arts and I chose the subjects which best suited my interest. Other than two compulsory subjects I chose psychology, elective English and journalism. Coursebook for elective English was good and the teachers made sure to make us teach well for it. Rest two were practical subjects and teachers provided us with the notes that before we started with every unit. We had a practical period for psychology every week.

Internships Opportunities

I didn't opt for an internship but few of my fellow students tried taking internships outside college with the teacher's reference for journalism.

Placement Experience

3.5

Lot many companies come to select students for job opportunities. My fellow colleagues have been placed in good companies in various cities. Placements are fine for bachelor degree holder but much better for master degree holders. Many picked jobs that they liked.

College Events

5

- College fresher's party individually given to all courses. - vivacity - virasat, during the end of the college year - Panache, sometime during January end or February starting - SDMUN - Literary club meets - English play by English department - Active participant of Youth fest - farewell for all individual courses

Fee Structure And Facilities

I found it feasible for a middle-class family but a little expensive for the lower middle class but compared to the whole college experience I found it worth every penny spent. It is definitely expensive compared to a government institution but the opportunities are vast.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't take any scholarship or loan facility from my college. I don't have any known who took the same.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is definitely the best you will ever enjoy. The gender ratio was great, almost equal I guess. People from other countries like Afghanistan are there too and many are there from around different parts of North India. In terms of extracurricular, I must say that it is growing very nicely as we are the overall trophy holders of youth fest continuously from past 4 years. Labs are good and sports are good too.

Hostel Facilities

4

Never took the hostel facility but the food was fine. As per the rules, girls hostel is way too strict whereas the boy's hostel is very lenient. Food is of average quality in both messes. The size of a girls hostel room is average too. Not too big not too small.

Alumni/Alumna

We are handed over our degree after 2 years which kind of helps us get connected to our college group. Alumni meets are also happening in our college.

Exam Structure

Now after the semester system, before every semester exam, we are made to take mid-semester exams. Students are made to take retests if they fail to obtain the minimum marks before they are given the college roll number for University exams. This according to me helps students prepare well.

Admission

I bought the admission coupon from the college premises after the admissions were open. I went online and paid through the coupon for my desired course and uploaded my marksheet and other necessary documents. After the list was out I was called for counselling according to my marks and I went on the given date with my documents. All the original and photocopies were taken with me. Got them attested and filled my fees after the admission was confirmed.

Faculty

3.5

All the teachers are well educated and they make sure to keep students interested while they are teaching something. They encouraged us for extracurricular as well. They made sure that students didn't miss out on lectures too much. They kept a record of attendance
