Remarks
Too strict about everything including attendance.
Entrance Preview
I opted for this college as it is one of the best biotechnology colleges in this country and my home is nearby. It is well funded and has adequate equipment should one wishes to study further on. The course here is based on the international curriculum.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is based on international standards as it should be easy for a student to shift to another partner University if he or she wishes to do so. Since many of my friends left for foreign universities I'd say that the curriculum is great.
Internships Opportunities
No, they don't. We have to do it ourselves. They don't even give a letter of Recommendation for the internship in 1st year.
Placement Experience
I've heard that the placements are okay. Quite decent in some blocks. There are highs and lows everywhere. Some of the students are studying in foreign countries with scholarships while some are jobless but then again that's the scenario for most of the colleges.
College Events
There are a lot of events happening in and around Amity. For most of the festivals, there are dances abs performances. There is also an annual sports meet where 26 sports are played. There is also a fest known as AYF where a famous celebrity is called in to perform.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure here is quite expensive for some courses such as B.Tech, BBA, MBA. Etc. The university takes money from us in every possible way even if we visit their clinic, the money is deducted from our security deposit. Even if we don't bring our Id we are charged.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, I'm aware of this scholarship programme that was offered to the batch topper but it's from the Govt of India to everyone in India.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is pretty great, in fact, in some cases, the girls outnumber the guys, at least in my course they do. The ground is the worst that I've ever come across. It's unplayable and there are grass patches only in the corners making most sports extremely hard to play.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel life in my campus is the worst. You can't get out of the campus at all and you can't get out of the hostel after 7 PM. The freedom here is quite limited. The food is only vegetarian here. I respect that but they should have separate restaurants for nonveg as well.
Alumni/Alumna
You get to communicate with your seniors due to a lot of ongoing events in the campus. And yes the seniors are extremely helpful.
Exam Structure
The exam schedule I must say is extremely tight. The tight exam schedule leaves us with no time to study as it's extremely tiring. The practicals are kept on Saturdays as well as soon as they see a time slot free, they put in an exam leaving the children with no time.
Admission
The admission process for me was quite simple. They offer direct admission to those whose marks were above 80 and since mine were, I got direct admission into this institute. But people who didn't have those kind of marks , they gave test and a interview.
Faculty
The faculty of my department is extremely well educated. Some are from IIT Delhi and some are from Harvard. That's because our department is the most blooming and well-funded department of Amity University. They are soft-spoken as well as AMAZING. G
