Detailed review about my College.

Everyone while preparing for engineering entrance exams wants to pursue career in Computer Science Engineering. It is mostly because of its high package and current trends and requirements of technology. The curriculum makes you a perfect engineer with proper skills required in Industry. Teachings are also good but in a semester there are some courses which aren't related to your branch and will not benefit in your career should be replaced with branch related stuff as there is no shortage of things to learn in computer science itself. Exams occur twice in a semester of 4-6 months at an interval of 2-3 months. These exams are like Unit test(Mid-sem) and Term(End-sem) exams of schools. Difficulty of exams in of moderate to hard level.

You can do internships from 4th semester. You generally have to search for online internships and there are certain summer and winter internships which college offers in order to give us a exposure of how things actually works in industry.

From 7th semester, placement starts at my college. Companies visited are Adobe, Amazon, etc. Higest package in college is 1.22Cr this year from ECE department. Average package is 2100000 and 2700000 for CSE. More than 80% are students are placed on campus. I don't have any plan currently about what will I do after B.Tech. I will prefer doing Masters.

Tuition fees in all the IIT's, NIT's and IIIT's is generally 70000-80000 INR per semester for General and OBC category whereas for SC, ST and PwD is 0. But you still have to pay for hostel and mess fees. There are certain schlorships which students get based on their categories. College also provide schlorships to the 10-20% of students based on their CPI. There are certain state related scholarships as well as category related. For example, OBC and Gen-EWS category candidates have NSP schlorship. All these schlorships are included of your tuition fees along with certain other entities like Laptop, Mobile, etc.

Campus Life is very good. There are various clubs related to sports, technical and cultural for students. Also there are fests generally in oct-dec duration which is a complete package of enjoyment for the students.

There are 3 students in a room in first and second year. From 3rd year you get single rooms. A students gets a study table, almirah and bed. Hostel fees are around 22000 Rs. per year. Hostel is compulsory in my college as it is at outskirts of the city. Talking about mess, the quality of food is above average. Sometimes you might feel that the food is very bad but overall you have a nice and tasty meal. Mess fees are around 15000 Rs. per semester.

Admission process was very good. Complete admission process takes place through JoSAA councelling. You have to get a decent percentile upto 98-98.5 in General categoryin order to get a Good college with Good branch. The complete councelling process takes after announcement of JEE Advanced results. During JoSAA rounds you have to pay 40000 from which 36000 gets accommodated in you college fees. Always be careful while filling the choices. After 6 JoSAA rounds there are further 2 rounds of CSAB in which cut off gets lowered a bit which improves chances of getting seat in a college. There are benefits of Reservation for different categories. Also there is 10% quota for Girls from each category. In college, in a semester there occurs two exams Mid-sem and End-sem at intervals of 2-3 months. Mid-sem are generally like Periodic tests of schools and End-sem are like term exams. The overall difficulty of exams is moderate-difficult. You have to study hard in college as well to get good marks.
