What Students Say
Likes
- Since the number of students are less, faculty to student ratio is good.
- College infrastructure is good and advanced than even older NITs and IITs.
- Also, as the number of students are less, there is a good chance to connect with seniors.
Dislikes
- Mess food is average. It can be improved.
- 1st year students don't get hostels in the main campus (but this is for few years only).
- Clubs are not as active as they should be.
Course Curriculum Overview
The latest curriculum is adopted (NEP 2020 - NationalEducation Policy) which is one of the reasons that students can't change the branch after a year. Difficulty level of the exams is moderate and you can clear the exam with a decent amount of study.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available to students from their 2nd or 3rd year itself. They can try in the companies coming in the campus and get selected to do internship. The college itself encourages us to do summer and winter internships between 4th and 5th sem, 6th and 7th sem.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are good. More than 85% students do get placed, while many choose to start something of their own. Students are eligible to sit in the placements from the 4th year while for internships, they can opt from 3rd year also.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee Structure comprises of Admission fees (taken for each semester), Tuition Fees, and many other charges like wifi, id card, exam fees, library fees, transport fees, sports related fees and many more, which amounts up to 1 lack (for students having income above 5 lacs) and this fees is excluding Mess or Hostel fees. However, we can get education loans easily and two banks are currently working in the campus BOB and ICICI.
Campus Life
As the college is still in development phase (since it has got its permanent campus in recent few years), plus the area given to the college is also small compared to other government colleges, some students do complain for having a good campus life. Clubs are good but they're generally inactive except few (like photography or cultural club).
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are easily alloted to students. Each room consists of a table, chair, bed and almirah. Apart from this, it depends whether you opt for AC rooms or not. Rooms are two, 3, 4 and 6 seaters mostly (some are single seaters also). One more thing is, 1st year students get hostel 4 kms away from the main campus (only boys; girls still get rooms in permanent campus) as the campus' new hostel is still under construction. Mess quality is average. Hostel and Mess fees are affordable.
Admission
Eligibility for the course is you must qualify the JEE Mains exam securing a good rank. Application form, fees and schedule can be found on the JEE Mains site itself. Reservation is also there for OBC, SC/ST/ PWD etc. Admission process is easy. Typically takes few hours (3-4) hours or even less if your documents are correct and as per list mentioned.
