What Students Say

Likes

The overall infrastructure.Tge campus is so green and eco-friendly.
The library ,which consist of books around 6000 of every subject.
The physical education department and ground were I spend my evenings practicing for the match etc.

Dislikes

The forceful teaching to finish the portions fastly.
Unwanted extra classes on Saturday and Sunday.
The washroom facility for girls is limited .Only 6 toilets are alloted for 600 girls.

Being an student from science stream,the course analytical economics attracted me because of its mathematical content.unlike from the economics ,analytical economics consist of more problematic than theory paper.It came along with upsc training.The curriculum should include more real life examples for better understanding.The foreign theories were bit difficult to understand.being a new course from KU it is difficult to find study materials and unavailability of precious question papers.

Internships Opportunities

Internship programs are compulsory for every student during their third semester or fourth semester.By the end of that year they should complete their internship.projects are also mandatory and topics are chosen by ourselves

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for course is Rs10000 for each semester as it is only available in the self financing sector.exam fees vary from semester and it usually range around Rs500.Club activities usually happen around campus and participation in economics fests and management fest.

Campus Life

Overall campus is eco-friendly and pleasant.It was mostly filled with green which give the campus a positive vibe.The library has books for every subjects.sports is very active in our college.every class has projector facilities.

Hostel Facilities

One room is allocated for normally 3 or 4 students with bed for each student.meal quality is average and contain non veg in every day except Friday.Registration process is through application .Rs6500 is charged for one-month rent and food.

Admission

I came to know about the admission procedures and application from the college official website and applied for 2 courses.They shortlisted students based on their school grades.Reservation benefits were present .After the selection ,selected students must attend an interview section.Admission is given to applicants who pass the interview.

The curriculum is suitable for the modern age of teaching,the way of education is well balanced with projects, assignments, presentations and also notes .we have reading assignments where the faculty members ask us to read an entire book and give our review on it.the exams are quiet moderate and in my opinion teachers should use more ai tools as a learning aid which will be more effective for the students

Great life from college

Placement Experience:

From the last semester pass out we a re eligible for the campus recruitment for job or placement. So many companies visit us for the interview or some checking like , hero honda , maruti suzuki etc. the main reason for it was a low amount of budget is that get from this placement maybe 15 thousand let month ect. Only the company can take the students for it so the percentage of the students who getting placement will change in every year. My plan was to get an admission in the central government University for doing master of degree in History. And try the best exam called upsc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many aspects of the curriculum that infulenced my decision to choose BA English Literature in St. Berchmans College. Their syllabus is far more challenging and interesting than what other colleges and universities offer in Kerala. The examinations and overall assessment of projects and grades are top-tier and is comparatively difficult to obtain. The course steadily provides good quality information and knowledge on English Litearture and readies the student to be more than qualified for further studies in English Literature or any related courses. The areas where they can improve in the course curriculum is through availing more optional courses such as various other language courses/philosophy related courses to be selected. Their teaching environment can also be improved by improving basic infrastructure in the classrooms such as airflow etc. They conduct their exams freequently and on time. The examinations are challenging but necessary for overall improvement in students

Remarks:
